I take it your getting ready to file with your AOS package? Not sure exactly where all you're stumped, but for Section 2, check 'd'. A large section of the application doesn't need to be filled out for Advance Parole. AP is only one of a few benefits for this application. Filing AP from a K-1, much will not apply to you. This is indicated in the part that states 'skip to Part 7'. For travel dates, I put 'unknown at this time'. Apparently, other K-1 AOSers did the same, and it didn't cause any problems. Time will tell for us though. You will need to indicate on a separate sheet of paper your need to travel. Have you looked at the example forms yet? That's basically what you need to follow. There is also a template for the separate sheet that you will attach.

We followed the forum's example form:

http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-131.pdf

and inserted a two week trip.

Had no problems, got the combo card(s).

YMMV.

Good luck.

Yes that's her alien number. Look at your NOA2 from your I-129F petition. It should also be on her visa, but trust more her NOA2.

It looks like you are looking at the parts of the form that are supposed to be skipped for AP.

The visa journey sample form looks blank to me, so this may help If it doesn't appear filled in to you.

Part 3:

If you look at the I-131 form, it says after Part 3 question 3 to skip to Part 7 if you are applying for AP. So you shouldn't have filled out Part 3 questions 4 and 5, and Part 4, at all.

Ah, very good. I was just skimming through and not paying attention. Thanks.

Put Unknown for date and length of travel. Tick the box for more than one trip. Skip to part 7. No separate explanation of why you want AP is required.

Why does Part 7 state, "On a separate sheet of paper, explain how you qualify for an Advance Parole Document, and what circumstances warrant issuance of advance parole. Include copies of any documents you wish considered"? I understand that this may be more necessary for other categories applying for advance parole, but wouldn't it make sense to include what the form asking for?

The form instructions state no explanation of why you qualify is needed when filing the I-131 with a pending I-485. It will be granted because you are applying for AOS. The statement is needed for those filing without also applying for AOS.
