Hi!!.. Long story short me & my fiance have finally decided to the petition for a k-1 Visa! So bascially, we just want some advice on what to put into the package along with the I-129F Petition and the other forms :)

We're putting all the obvious stuff in, the G325A (done by us both), G-1145, the check, cover letter, declaration of how we met person in the last two year (which i have no idea how to do), statements certifying intent to marry, passports photos of us both, his birth certificate. Oh and for the proof of the relationship and having met in the past two years we are putting in, emails, phone bill records, photos of us over the past 2 years ish, passport stamp copies, and copies of boarding passes. Any ideas on anything else that needs to go in or that can be helpfull would be great! So we're know each other for, almost 2 and a half years, and been dating for almost 2. We started dating when i was 17 & met online when i was 16.

Anyway on to the main questions!

Our main concern is our age difference, its 9 years.

We met while gaming online through a friend in February 2011 i was 16 and he was 25, he then visited me for christmas 2011 when i 17 and him 26 obviously anyway we always stayed either at my parents house or at my aunts and were never really alone. We're just worried that there may be issues with us meeting so young and haven't been together all THAT long. I then visited him in Texas at his house (which is parents live in too) from May 2012 - August 2012, so i had my 18th birhtday while i was down there and he also had his 27th birthday while i was there too, and then i recently visited him from December 2012 - March 2013. He proposed on January 1st 2013 at sunrise which i will forever remember it was perfect! =D Anyway do ya'll think i should get letters from my parents or anything seeing as i was young.. and still am, even though i don't feel it! lol

Along with that there may be legal issues because of my age and also he's a high school teacher =/

Any advice would be really helpfull.

Also if anyone know's where i can get US sized passport in Norwich UK that would be great!

Thanks!

9 years is nothing... although realize you're thinking about marrying someone who met you when you were 16 and he has a class full of 16 year old girls all the time... But 9 years age difference isn't even that uncommon in the US. When I was 28 my girlfriend was 18 and just finishing HS and her parents didn't mind it. Good luck!

Lol yeh i know.. Not "Thinking" going to. Yes and i have met some of his students while visiting him, aaand well i know understand the maturity difference from the USA and UK. But its not like we planned to end up having feelings and i certainly don't even feel the age difference when we are together. But great thanks for the info :)

age difference is not a problem at all, but America is puritan country compare to Europe so theoretically some case worker might have some prejudice considering that you have been "dating" for couple of years while you were under age and might think of him as some sex predator especially considering his teacher position so they might put him under close investigation, but then again another case worker might just say who gives, she's 18 and that is all that matters, so probably parents letter of consent might be just extra bonus in this case

There is a 13 year age gap between myself and my fiance. I'm 24, he's 37.

I don't expect to experience any problems because of this. I'm sure there are plenty of people filing who have faaaaar bigger age gaps, believe me!

Not a very big age difference, and not a problem for UK. A big problem is something like 20-30+ years, and yes, there are people with that much of a gap...

Have you got a Max Spielman's in Norwich? They do the passport photos and they are guaranteed so if they are not acceptable they will redo them.

Is he a US citizen?

Are you free to get married? (legally old enough, not already married)

Have you met in person within the last two years?

That's really all there is to it. USCIS doesn't get into morals or gossip-like distractions such as "why is he dating someone the age of his students? Shame on him"

Also if anyone know's where i can get US sized passport in Norwich UK that would be great!

You can take your own and size it using this uploader tool from the Dept of State. Scroll halfway down the page. http://travel.state.gov/passport/pptphotoreq/pptphotoreq_5333.html Save the jpg file and print at home or at a photo place. Also available at Snappy Snaps, Photo-Me booths, Jessops. Any of those near you?

PhotoMe booths are available for normal passport photos and are usually found in Asda and UK passport issuing postoffices however they also now do Visa shots at a price of £7. it isn't immediately obvious either so check the machine you are using carefully.
