A bit of a delay for us, due to a mistake made by the NVC. They mistakenly issued an NSC case number (for Nicosia, Cyprus where my love and I met) instead of an MNL number for Manila. I discovered this when I called their office for the MNL number on March 22nd... Thank the good Lord that they were able to put a hold on our file before it left their office headed to Cyprus! Now our case file is being reviewed and we're hoping that we have out MNL number very soon. I didn't think it would take this long to get it though. Has anyone here have any experience with such an issue???

Rgds,

Sahs

only the 22nd? that's not a long time, for casefile rehoming, at all.

when it's past 60 days, freak out, officially.

suggest you call NVC every 2 days, inquire about casefile rehoming status.

and btw - have you seen Hank_ 's handy dandy complete guide to the K1 for Manila IV ? It's super handy.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thank goodness you caught it while your case was still at the NVC. The last time I read about a case that was sent to the wrong Embassy, it took about two months to correct.

Indeed Tahoma! That would have set us back awhile. That GOD... I just phoned the NVC and they re-re-reconfirmed that our file has not left their office and currently being reviewed for the change of Embassy... I pray it doesn't take too long...

Hi Tahoma

Could you please give me the link to that case?

NVC sent a letter saying my case has LND# despite the fact that we emailed my change of address and requested a Tokyo Japan # - upon phoning they claimed not to have received the email

My fiance has sent a letter to the London consulate- and we are waiting to see how long it will take to get a new Tokyo case #

Will it really be 2 months?
