Ah ok! I totally agree with you...what's the point of keeping cases at NBC if they are going to process them the same way? Why not just send to the local office and be done with it. USCIS is sooo frustrating. I'm remembering back to when I was calling USCIS weekly to find out why hubby wasn't in the SAVE system. Every person I talked to gave us, as it turned out, inaccurate information :(

It just doesn't make sense to me...as of Dec. 31, our local office was processing cases from Aug. 10. Our case is from Sept. 13. So here we are almost 3 months later and the processing time hasn't even moved up one month at the local office? We haven't heard a word. Just odd.

Yes I did, I have call several times to the USCIS and all of the staff I spoke with, confirmed this! Why? Cause every month I call to complain about why my case is taking too long they say that "according to your local office you are still are in the regular frame of time". The last time I called I told them why if the NBC is taking care of the I485 why I have to wait for my local processing time? She said was like..."well, that's our policy"

In my case, they received my petition on july 24 and they are currently processing july 20 (they have been working with july since november :/)

Andrea & Henry, Every time I get on VJ I look to see if you have gotten your approval yet (because very selfishly, I am hoping we are not too far behind you)

It seems as though they are not even working on them at NBC - I picture this giant bin where all the AOS app's get placed that don't need interviews and someone sorts through them once in a blue moon when a congressman calls to make an inquiry. ok.....i know, I know, i need to focus on something else for a while :)))

Everytime I would call, I would speak to a Tier 2 officer and still get conflicting info. One time they told me that it had gone to the local field office, then another time I was told that it was transferred back from the field office and being held at NBC because of Hurricane Sanday and then when I called after that, they told me "No, it has not been moved at all and is still being processed." I was at my wits end :bonk:.

When it was updated into the system that the card was in production, I actually called to verify if this information was correct because I just wanted to make sure that it was actually accurate.

Just to give you guys something to look forward to, we were one of the ones who applied in July and our case was never transferred. We got our confirmation last week that we were approved, no interview or anything. We never asked for a congressman to look into it so hopefully you July folks are not far behind. AT the end of the day we always knew we had the EAD and AP so we just didn't think about it to much.

Best of luck folks, here's to waiting.

what the local office means? The same place where my Bio. apt was or somewhere else ... because we don`t have for New Jersey? :( :(

The only local office in New Jersey is the one in Newark NJ. According to the link below, they are processing applications with timeframe August 24, 2012. You filed on 2012-09-04. You are next when they finish with August filers but not yet.
