Hey Everyone,

2 weeks ago i sent my I-129f package. Under employer history I wrote that my mother was my employer because I was her property manager. I talked to my accountant and he said that property managers usually file as Self employed. I was just wondering if I could resend my Employment history again stating that I was self employed in where my pay came from my mother. Any help please, I am really worried about this. Thank you

If they need any further evidence they will contact you but if you are really worried just wait till you get your NOA 1 and then contact the uscis for corrections. Goodluck on your wait and approval.

Wait until you get an RFE and you can respond and correct the work info. If you don't get an RFE, then correct it at the time of interview when you submit another round of documents. You won't be sure that if you send something now that it'll match up with your petition.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until greencard in hand: 655 days

Non issue.

However, if you are asking accountants about your answers two weeks after you sent the documents, my guess is you will easily imagine something else to worry about.

You cannot change anything once it has been sent. Your answer is not wrong and makes no difference whatsoever in the process. "Usually file" WHAT? Taxes? Who cares? USCIS is not the IRS and this is not about income tax.

DO NOT ask accountants about immigration issues.

Sleep well.

I worked as a contractor for solely my mother, so I listed her on my forms as my employer on the G325a for my approved I-129F and I-130 without a problem.

If you were a contractor with a 1099 for multiple people that might be a different story, but in my opinion you were honest and no one will have a problem with it.

have a corrected version available for the interview, or in case you get an RFE for it.
