For the photocopies, you only need it for the birth and marriage certificates. Don't need to send photocopies of the other stuff.

There's no need to print and scan and all that. A simple email format will suffice. Either way is fine.

If the case was assigned a NWD number, then it's quite obvious that's where she'll be interviewing. You can confirm this with an operator if you wish.

I have prepared the email for the DS-3032 and as per the instructions the email has to be sent by my spouse correct?

A question I have is that - I am also supposed to send an email to the same email address NVCinquiry@state.gov to ask them to remove my lawyer from the application since I am not going to use that lawyer for the NVC process - do I need to send two separate emails - one for DS-3032 and the other to remove lawyer information or is just the DS-3032 enough since that already makes me the agent of choice?

I just don't want to confuse NVC with two emails - one going from me on the lawyer removal and the other going from my spouse on the DS-3032.

Anybody had this problem? If they sent two separate emails - does anyone have a template for the lawyer removal?

I havent yet filed my tax return for 2012 - can i send a W-2 for year 2012 instead a tax return copy?? does it have to a certified copy???

Since the DS-3032 is filled by the beneficiary, the DS-3032 email should technically be sent by the beneficiary.

And there's no way you can remove the lawyer over the phone? Because, by the time they get to the DS-3032 email, they may already invoice the IV bill (since you still have a lawyer attached). This might actually turn out in your favor though as you'll be able to pay sooner. You could always mention in the DS-3032 email that there was a lawyer attached to the case but you want him removed, thus the beneficiary is electing for the USC to be the agent from now on.

Tax information for 2012 isn't needed yet at NVC, so you're fine. But make sure you file taxes soon as your interview will likely be after the tax deadline in which 2012 tax information will be needed at the interview.

If you're going to send 2012 information to NVC, then no, the copy of the tax return doesn't have to be certified. But, for the interview, I highly suggest getting the tax transcript from IRS (as well as bringing the W2s and copy of the tax return).

On the phone they just said that I need to send an email to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov noting that I need to remove the lawyer from the case. I can update the DS-3032 to add a line to say that "We are no longer going to be going through the lawyer that filed the I-130" or something like that.

I don't understand what will work in my favor - I am just afraid that something goes to the lawyer and since I am not using him (and I had a very bad experience with him) that something goes to him and he does not communicate it to me.

So what's the safest way of doing this - send an email separately from me noting that I no longer wish to use the lawyer AND add a statement to the DS-3032 that we no longer wish to use the lawyer.

Is there something else I can do that can make sure that my lawyer is totally out of the picture and there is no complication later on?
