Congrats to the newest US citizens.

I received the "In Line" email on Friday. Can you update the table?

I am so stressed about this whole process. It's been more than 4 months since I started my process. It's too much in my opinion.

When can I expect the letter with the interview date?

I'm also a Los Angeles filer, and it's been a month since my in line status, I haven't received an interview letter yet. It only took me about 3 weeks to go from sending it to in line, but I'm still waiting for an interview to be scheduled. From what I saw on trackitt, it looks like it takes around 4-6 weeks, but who knows?

Hello March Fellows,

Yesterday I had my interview at 1:30 pm (Philadelphia, PA). There are many public parking around the building. Check-in around 1:10pm, first thru security (they were very friendly), then went to the 2nd floor. Right there, I gave my interview notice and the lady wrote down a "code" (perhaps the officer's last name???), forwarded me to the third floor where there were two other people waiting.. Nobody said a word, just took a seat and waited until an officer walked in and called a lady there. Then she asked if anybody else was there for the interview and she collected my appointment letter..

By exactly 1:30 pm, a young officer called me by my last name and I had to rush to follow him to his room (better take a seat close to the door). He told me to leave my bag (full of documents) in the chair that he pointed out and asked me to raise my right hand to take the oath. Right away I saw my big pile of documentation that I have submitted so far in his desk (just for the N-400, it has more than 1.000 pages!!!!).

He asked for my green card, passport and drivers license, and handled a paper sheet with my information to be confirmed, including my SSN #. Asked how many times I was married (just once), any kids (I said: "no, just cats.." and he laughed), if I want to change my name..

Without any warning he started to ask the six questions:

1. What is the name of the national anthem? The Star-Spangled Banner

2. What ocean is on the West Coast of the United States? Pacific Ocean

3. Why does the flag have 13 stripes? Because there were 13 original colonies

4. What major event happened on September 11, 2001, in the United States? Terrorists attacked the United States

5. How old do citizen have to be to vote for President? 18 and older

6. What is the "rule of law"? Everyone must follow the law /Leaders must obey the law /Government must obey the law / No one is above the law

Then he showed a paper and asked to read: "How many US Senators do we have?" and write" "We have one hundred Senators"

After we finalized the interview he told me that he has never seen a submission like mine. He said, usually when they see a big package it usually a complicated case, where people have a lot to prove. In my case, he had a great experience going thru all my documentation and he said I did a wonderful job. He was sure me and my husband are a very happy couple!!!!

I asked him have many interview he performs per day and he answered 13...Then he asked if I was interested to attend the next Friday Oath Ceremony(07/26 @ 9AM).. and without hesitating and said "Absolutely", and he let me choose the time (morning or afternoon).. Then I asked if it was allowed to invited family to come over and he asked me how many people I wanted to bring.. I said three: my mother and father-in laws and husband, he said, not a problem.

By the end, he gave my Oath Ceremony Letter and My Test Result (approved).

I was very surprised how nice and friendly this officer was during the interview (10 minutes). He said it was very nice to meet me and wish me all the best!!!

Hello Everyone..I'm pleased to say that I am now officially a United States Citizen with my passport in hand. I had my oath ceremony on July 19th (my father's birthday) at the Cadman Plaza. I arrived at 6:30am for an 8:30am appointment and they starting letting us into the building at 7:30am. The ceremony was completed at 11:45am and there were 260 of us. From there I took the train to the passport agency in Manhattan and arrived at about 12:30pm. I was hoping that I would be seen earlier though I had an appointment for 2:30pm. Unfortunately I had to wait for my appointment. I went to lunch with the hubby and came back for 2pm. I was then ushered upstairs to two rooms FULL of people waiting to apply, renew etc their passports...Needless to say I was there until 6:30pm...although I was exhausted, I was happy that I left there with my passport in hand...and now I am able to make my international flight 8am Monday morning.

I am eternally thankful for this website and how much help/ I received on here with my numerous questions or concerns.

I had my N400 interview today.
Appointment was at 8:30am. Got there by 8:00, went through security, waited for about an hour (9:00) then a gentleman called my name. He asked for my DL, GC, Passport then proceeded with 6 civic questions (easiest ones) then the English test. I had to read “Which state has the most people?” and write “California has the most people”. Went through the questions on N400 and double checked my name and address etc. Then gave me a paper that says 'Congratulation!, your application has been recommended for approval.' Told me wait about a month for the Oath letter and another month for the ceremony. That’s it. Whole interview took less than 10 minutes and didn't ask for any supporting documents.
Some background info: I’m applying N400 under 5yr-condition and my USCIS office is Milwaukee, WI.
My journey is almost over! smile.png

I studied the 100 Civics question and I did not see the question of "Which state has the most people? "

Maddy, that was my English test. I had to read "Which state has the most people" from the paper IO showed me. not part of 10 random civic questions.

My IO also asked me to read "which state has the most people?" and to write "California has the most People".

By the way I received a notice Friday night that my case has been place in the oath ceremony queue and that if I'm scheduled for an oath ceremony, I'll be notified in a mail... I can't wait! dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

Hello Dear friends.

On July 12th I received the "In Line" for interview e-mail

on July 15th, I received another email stating that my interview has been scheduled.

Now, how long does it take for me to received the interview letter and how long to get interviewed?
