Better off to pay the fine and keep the receipt and bring that in as well. All depends on your IO, some are understanding, others make an big deal out of it. Made a big deal with my stepdaughter's 50 buck fine she received four years ago, that caused a lot of delay and chasing around trying to get that proof.

With satellite communications, your vehicle sending out information about whether about you are wearing your safety belts, any check engine codes, how fast and where you are driving, can find out if you are breaking the law even in the middle of nowhere. Pitched my radar detector a long time ago, 55 means 55.

Exactly what happened to our freedom?

Not for nothing, but tickets in the mail do not go "on record". Like traffic light cams - those tickets are sent to the registered car owner, because the cam doesn't know (at least here in NJ and PA) who's driving the car.

So, you have to pay the ticket anyway, but I'm just saying, those tickets don't usually show up anywhere "on the record".

Слава Україні!

Agree with Marty.

This is not a ticket you need to disclose because it's a traffic cam. It does not go on your record. If you want to take it and explain it by all means do so, but there's nothing on your driving or court record about it.

It even says on the letter that the person being sent the ticket won't have this on their driving record.
