ok, so here is my situation. I will be traveling to USA on february 13th on a K1 visa. My mom lives in Philadelphia and she has a friend in philadelphia who is illegal. My mom's friend sent to Honduras her 6 years old daughter last year with one of her cousins. The thing is that now my mom's friend asked me if I could bring the kid with me . I told my mom I couldnt since I am travelling on a k1 visa and im afraid I have any kind of issues at the POE. My mom is a LPR living in Philadelphia and my fiance lives in Highland, so that is why I am afraid immigration would ask me what is my relationship with this girl and why I am going to PHL. The kid is a USC but with illegal parents.. Any advice????

Don't. Do. It. Period.

Your mom's friend had absolutely no right to make such a ridiculous request of you. And if that kid is indeed a US Citizen then why did her parents send her away? Sounds very shady. CBP would be VERY suspicious of you bringing a random child with you.

My advice. Don't do it under any circumstances. You will be questioned at POE in the US and they will, without a doubt, question who that child is, and what she is doing with you, and who she belongs to.To tell you the truth, the story you were told by your friends just doesn't sound right to me to begin with. Don;t put your own visa in jeopardy because a friend of your mother asked you to do something that is not your responsibility, and they never should have asked you to begin with. Put your foot down and say no!!!!

Thanks Sarah and Adnan. She sent the girl for vacations in Honduras. I know I dont get it how you could send your child on vacation by herself. The girl is in Honduras with family.

:wow:

I don't get it either... especially knowing the mother was illegal and could not go get the daughter when the time came. I strongly agree with everyone else - Don't even try it!
