This is getting ridiculous!!! Can we expect no forward movement from them?!?!?! Are we still allowed to call once the original 5-month timeframe has passed, since that's what we were told processing would be originally (even though official estimates put it at over 6 months and estimates on here apparently put it at over 8)? They need to sent more petitions out to local offices rather than continue to let them gather dust in the black hole that is Vermont!

Did you contact your congressman? I have a colleague who was in the same boat. She contacted the USCIS without luck. She then began to go to her senator's office every day in person for 1.5 weeks to meet him. Eventually they finally met her and the case was approved a week later. I think they got annoyed with her being there every day. If you're close to the senator's office, try the approach. Good Luck.

Vermont used to be the service center you wanted your case sent to. this delay must be emotionally draining for people.

I haven't yet contacted my Congressperson, because of Vermont changing it's estimates, so I wasn't sure how that would work. Also, can't exactly manage visits every day with job and daughter and such. But I think it's time to start calling, USCIS and Congressperson, that's for sure.

I don't think you will be able to get your congressman involved. You can try. It all depends on their view of the matter. But there are still others ahead of you who haven't heard anything yet, either. It appears VSC is on approximately June 4th, 2012. Lots of those apps were approved last week.

If you're able to get your congressman involved please post on here, because I will see if my wife can do the same thing. If you're able to get results, maybe we could, too.

I hope we all get approval soon!

Unfortunately, until the official processing times show a date past your date (July 31, 2012), you will not be allowed to enter a service request. This whole process sucks but all of our cases will be adjudicated sooner or later.
