Don't recall if we did get an email regarding interview scheduling. We did receive the interview appointment letter about a month before the interview date. It seemed to go pretty fast.

Good luck.

The US embassy in Amman has certain requirements that are not needed for other countries, and isn't sent to the NVC. If you go to the consulate website it will give you a list of everything they require. Amman is 100% electronic,so everything you sent to the NVC would have been only scanned copies of the originals, you must bring all all of the originals plus one photocopy of each, they will look at the originals, keep the photocopies, and return the originals to you. One thing that is not on the NVC list is the record of personal information, this is consulate specific to Amman, This you obtain at the Civil Status department in the area you live in Jordan, I think it costs like 6 jds. Like I said go to the US embassy in Amman site and look at the list, it lists everything you need. I went to the interview with my husband in Amman and we brought pictures and other evidence too, they didn't ask for any of it. Good luck!!
