This is a very sad story. I hope you make the best decision for yourself. The advice given is good and I would report your husband to the appropriate agency for the kids sake. I do not like to hear about kids being mistreated in anyway. For your children to tell you how they feel is enough reason to end this relationship. Obviously, you have many supporters and people praying for you because you reached out and everyone is giving you their honest opinion. No child should ever live in an environment where the parent is treating them wrong. Am sorry but I would not be able to sleep knowing what you know about how he treats his kids. There are plenty of REAL men out there who are looking for Good women like yourself. He was not the right person for you and he does not deserve you and you do not deserve him. I pray you do the right thing. keep us updated. God bless.

I really hope you get a divorce and not come over. This guy is a loser and if you move here you will be supporting him and serving him like a slave. He is emotionally and mentally abusing you. Always listen to your guts before it's too late! Get away from this guy.

Also noticed you have family in the US. As a Canadian you are entitled to be out of country for 6mths without it impacting your healthcare here. As you cross you will still provide your passport and pkg. I'm thinking that sometimes being with family helps one to as you said regroup.

If she is moving to the US as a Permanent Residence her health care entitlement would generally stop the last day of the month in which she leaves Canada. She would then have to requalify upon re-entry into Canada. I believe it’s generally a 3 month delay.

There are also tax implications and so much more.

Because she would not be entering as a visitor (i.e. snowbird) and instead as an intending immigrant.

OP: Best of luck with the many hard decisions that you have to make. I wish you all the best and I truly hope that you find someone worthy of you. ((hugs))

I agree with the poster that wanted you to contact social services on behalf of the daughters even if they only keep an eye on the situation it may prevent some icky things from happening.

my sister-in-law contacting me today - she's LPN (think that's what the designation is called).......anyway, she said she went to my husband place and checked all his current prescriptions. She sad there at least 2 meds he is taking that affect moods, and she thinks some meds are conflicting, and that he's been seeing a quack. She assured me she is taking him to her GP for a 2nd opinion.

I'm so sad..........I love my husband very much......I felt like I was in someone elses life.

He's been crying and saying he'll change and find out what is causing the mood disorder.

My sister-in-law told me to take some time my family on the east and take it one step at a time.

I'm going to enter next week and pray for guidance.

Okay sounds like a plan. Enter, spend some time with family. Wait for your SIL to take him to the doc and see if the meds even out. Go and visit him in the meantime, or after the meds have had time to kick in. Decide what you want to do then.
