Hi!!

I'm 28 years old and want to live in the USA. I was born in Canada and have a Canadian passport, but both of my parents are from the USA. They moved to Canada in the 70's and I don't think they ever had american passports. I have copies of their birth certificates. I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice about the best way to go about this? I think I will need a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (FS-240), I didn't get one at birth, is it possible to get one now?

I'm currently in California, and am wondering if I should try by mail, or in the USA or in Canada?

Thank you sooo much!!!!

Caitlin

A Consular Report of Birth can only be created at an American consular office overseas while the child is under age 18.
