Well I mean express is also federal express.

If you ACTUALLY sent it USPS, then you should be fine.

It's because it's literally a lockbox. A PO box. Only USPS has access to those.

If you put a signature required, then you should have gone the express address route.

Even if you didn't, you should be fine.

I've seen people accidentally send signature items to the lockbox.

My packets in my hands ready to go to the USPS today!

I was going to send it to the Chicago PO box first class with just delivery confirmation, would that be ok ?

Not completely sure. Sounds okay to me?

I sent mine fedex. Sorry.

I think delivery confirmation is just a scan of the package more or less so no human has to be present.

Your best bet would just be to ask the person at the post office if they will have any problems delivering to the lockbox with delivery confirmation.

Like I said, probably fine, but at least then you'd get a definitive answer =]

Actually, in USPS terms, express is the slow one and priority is the fast one, so me thinks you're good.

Hubby was smart.

Thank you, KdH! You were very helpful in helping us put the package together :)

If it wills that we won't get an RFE, when should we expect NOAs? :)

We sent it USPS Priority with delivery confirmation. Hopefully, I'll get to say favorable things about that method. Hahaha

They are both called Lockboxes (phoenix or chicago) regardless of which of the two addresses under each region you send to.

Now each region has two addresses,

one for all USPS deliveries (excluding USPS overnight express) , the second address for ALL COURIER services (including USPS overnight EXPRESS)

I have always used USPS EXPRESS and sent each time to 131 southdearborn where courier mails shd go and never had problems.

so priority mails shd go to the other address.

Mailed our I-130 petition today January 15th! :)

We live abroad but we went to US post office on base. My husband insisted on just sending it priority, not express, since mailing it express from Japan doesn't make things faster anyway. Oh well. I hope we'll get updated about them receiving it before January ends!! :(

Congrats! now we pray it takes less time than what it says on the USCIS website.

USCIS:

01/03/2013 - I-130 Sent

01/08/2013 - NOA1

04/08/2013 - NOA2 (Approved)

Haha! Yeah! I really hope so. :)

I actually think, with all the research I've done, I made the stupid mistake of thinking my husband (USC) should sign both of the G-325A forms. :(

Googling through the history here on VJ, no one who did that mistake in the I-130 got RFE'd... so I am hoping and hoping...
