Hi,

Can a 10-yr Green Card holder (getting it via CR-1) sponsor for her mother if she is the only child in the family and her father just died due to sickness (so that only her mother is living alone in Thailand and she is now in the USA)?

Is there other way to help speeding the sponsoring process due to her situation?

nope, only USC can petition for parents. GC holders cannot file for parents. sorry for her situation, but until she becomes a US Citizen, there is nothing she can do.

Yup. MInd you, if she has a 10 year greencard she got via a CR-1, she should be close to naturalising anyways.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
