Hello to everyone! So I just found out that our case was completed. NVC told me that by January I will be receiving an interview date for February. Is there any way I can get it earlier than February?

Jan interview dates are all set by Jan 12-13. Feb dates will be set within 2 weeks. So, you will hear within 1-2 weeks.

If all the available (Jan) slots for your embassy are "filled" you will need to attempt an expedite request at NVC, your embassy will have no knowledge of your case until after they receive your package which is mailed from NVC after you get an interview.

then email the IV Unit in Manila, asking for an earlier date.

Why wait one week? It takes time for the casefile to travel from NVC to the IV Unit in Manila,

and

USUALLY the IV Unit will not talk to you via email till the casefile is physically there.

Usually how long does it take for the embassy to receive the documents from NVC? So that we can try to call them and ask to expidite my wife's interview date.

There's a holiday coming up, so if there's any lag, email again on the 2nd week.

There is a good thread on the Embassy forum, it is used to track packages from NVC to Embassy, find one for Manila to use as a sample. Use the waybill number in the DHL tracking system. That is how I tracked mine and came to find out that mine arrived at Bogota today.
