Hi Everyone!

My husband and myself are on our honeymoon as we speak in Costa Rica. My sister texted me to tell me we received a letter from immigration. She said it´s form 201(b)INA. What does this mean??

She said the letter says:

The petition for (his name) to be petitioned has been approved. Give processing 30 days to receive in mail.

What does this mean? What is next? Is this what normally takes 6 months to be approved? It´s driving me nuts not to have that letter in front of me. Worst of all it´s Saturday and lawyers office is closed today to ask. I don´t want to jump for joy just yet.

Can someone please explain to me what´s next.

THANK YOU!!

I think is Noa 2. you are approved and i think what is next is that they will forward your approved petition to the NVC . but the most tedious place is the USCIS stage and now that you have pass through that, you should give thanks to God for that. For me, And not all petition takes 6 months now, majority of the petition sent to NBC is moving on very fast and you are part of them. i am still waiting to hear good news of my approved petition. Congratulations once again

This isn't a form number: 201(b)INA

It's actually the type of petition that you filed (USCitizen for a Foreign Spouse)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
