Good afternoon ladies and gentleman,

I'm in the process of submitting the paperwork for my fiancé.

I have everything but I wonder if I should also attach the I-134 form along with a letter from my employer saying my position, gross pay, etc etc?

I know she will present this same information once she has to be interviewed, but should this approach be advisable?

Thanks all.

Thanks.

Would she be required to present a police record once she is given an interview date?

No, not for Juarez. You only need to provide police records if you have a criminal history.

The affidavit of support? No, I told you. It's not necessary to file the petition. Follow the guide and you'll be fine.

After NOA2 things get embassy specific (which is why Kay gave you the correct answer about the Police Certificate); but for now, it 's all the same for every one.

Thank you. I just thought it would help my cause. Sorry for being too persistent

Thanks for the help

What Celeste said. Just follow the guide here on VJ for what to send with the I-129F petition. USCIS won't care about the affidavit of support and probably would not even bother to look at it. They are not the ones that decide that aspect of the process. It won't be of any help to send it with the petition. You would just need to send an up-to-date I-134 and all the supporting documents again when it is time for the foreign fiance(e) to have their K-1 visa interview. You need the form and documents to be recent and the interviewing officer at the consulate is the one that makes the decision about financials and other factors for approving the visa.

As said above in this thread, do not send the I-134 and supporting financial documents with the I-129F petition. Just send what is listed in the guide here on VJ. The I-134 is not needed until the K-1 visa interview at the consulate in the foreign fiance(e)'s country. That happens about 5+ months after sending the I-129F petition.

You do NOT attach it to the I-129f. Please read the instructions. These kinds of questions always concern me. Read carefully, interpret literally. Attaching unnecessary documentation to the I-129f will not help you in any possible way. Not attaching what is needed will cause a problem.

Do not send it with the petition

Do not hire lawyers

Nothing that is not required will "help your cause"

This is an extremely simple procedure, much less difficult than college applications and 3 clicks easier than a job application at a big box store. If you meet the qualifications you will be approved.

the qualifications are simple

1. You need to be a US citizen to file an I-129f. Prove it. (birth certificate, passport, citizenship certificate)

2. You both need to be eligible to marry each other. Prove it (no previous marriage or divorce certificates)

3. You both need to be willing to marry each other. Prove it. (letters of intent)

4. You need to have met in person at least one time in the last two years. Prove it.

That's it. Nothing else will help.
