Question about 485 and I 130 filed seperately

I sent in my I130 and 485 seperately as our situation changed and now we are staying put to have my wife adjust.

anyways, yesterday i got my I130 approved (thank God !) and i am preparing for my next steps. I included my I130 NOA with the 485 application so USCIS can put the two together.

my question is, is this going to delay my case having the two not filed together? I called USICS and they said to follow the instructions on my approval notice but i just don't know if they will have me fill more paperwork as if i am only filing a stand alon I130 (due to the timing of my app). They got my I485 about 10 days ago ...i just need ya'll input on what should i expect. Also the USCIS rep told me that USICS will request the file back from NVC since I filed 485 but to also follow the instructions on my approval notice.

I guess i am curious to see if there are any additional instruction on the approval notice that would have me fill out more paperwork as if i am doing a stand alone I130.

No, there is nothing else. You do NOT want to communicate with the NVC or do any NVC stuff - that will get you in line for an interview abroad. Just wait for them to get your I-485 and match the two up. You should be waiting for a transfer notice on the I-130 to NBC (to meet up with your I-485).

I was in the same position, and my process took the normal amount of time, so I don't think it causes much of a delay, if any at all.

great - thats what i would expect too but had to ask heheh .

Hardp - i'll just have to wait and see hwat my approval notice has and hope for a transfer on my I130 to NBC soon so we can start the ASO process !

should i call USCIS and ask to speak to a tier 2 rep? i got my interview paperwork today and we are scheduled for interview on 2/12 but was wondering if i should follow up on this at all.

If you got an interview in the USA, no need to chase after the I-130, at all.
