The medical exam has to be current as of date of your first NOA, not approval. Otherwise pretty much everyone waiting would have to submit a new medical in the end.

That's good to know. I thought I had read otherwise somewhere else on this forum.

Well.....went to my local USCIS office in Manchester, NH to hand in my police clearance letter and do a sworn statement. Afterwards the man said I would receive my cards in about a week!!!! MY SON AND I ARE NOW OFFICIALLY RESIDENTS OF AMERICA!!!! dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

I then told the man that on sunday my son is flying to Spain for the summer to see his Dad so the card would come after he has left. I asked if it is alright to use the EAD combo card to get back into America. The man asked to see our passports, looked at our case folders, typed a load of stuff into the computer and then stamped both our passports with a temporary green card/EAD stamp. He said not to use the EAD cards anymore and use this and our green card when it comes.

Feeling relieved it's all done now (well for the next 2 years!) smile.png
