Thanks everyone!

We went in Atlanta for the interview! The Biometrics appointment was in Metairie, LA but I don't think they do interviews there or at least everyone I know from my area had their interview in Atlanta! It's all done for now and we are so happy and relaxed!

Wish you all good luck!

Woah.. really? You live in Louisiana and you had to go to Georgia for the interview? I had no idea. There are reviews for AOS interviews at the NOLA office but not since 2012. Hmmm. Well now I really hope I DON'T get an interview anytime soon, since my husband is in his 4th year of Medical School, working 100 hours a week on-call, and a few days in Atlanta is just not an option! In fact it's impossible. :help: Now I just hope that the theory UK AOS peeps wait longer but dont get an interview proves to be true!

I can't believe that you still don't have an interview date! We filed our papers Nov 19 and I thought it was too long! Did you call them? Is it any special thing with your case?

We actually live in Mobile, AL and the regional office for us Metairie and Atlanta for the interview.

APPROVED!!!

I can't believe it went so easy! The officer didn't even ask a single question different than the application questions! He asked my husband about his date of birth and address and me the same questions and the date and place of our marriage! Then he asked if we have any papers to submit to our file and I gave him our tax returns for 2012 and my husbands health insurance with my name on it and that was it! We had like 15 random pictures with friends from summer parties and Christmas and he just took a look at some of them! At one of the pictures I am holding my husbands baby-niece and he asked who is the baby. My husband said its his niece and that was the whole thing! The officer turned around and printed some stuff, took my I-94 and asked if we have any questions about the conditional green card. We said no and he put the stamp on the aplication "Approved"!!! Gave me the letter and wished us nice day!

a day? looks like a week for me ;)

anyway looks like most of the peeps who get interview, didn't arrive on K1 (with a few exceptions) so hopefully the reason we wait longer is because we won't need an interview... there's hoping! :)

Congrats to all who got they green cards :)

  • 2 weeks later...

:dance: My daughter had her interview this morning and she was APPROVED on the spot! PRAISE GOD!!!:dance:

She said it was a very easy interview and the IO was very nice. The whole thing was less than 1/2 hour from their appt time to when she called me once they got back to their car.

She was just asked a few questions from the application (ie. are you involved in espionage, etc...) and basically that was it. She asked to look at their passports and nothing else. They'd brought a ton of documention of proof and pictures, but weren't asked to show any of it.

Whoohoo.......... now we have a bit of a reprieve from USCIS paperwork for a while

Hope the rest of you Nov filers, who have yet to be approved, have your cases move along quickly! We are very thankful!!!

Note: my daughter arrived on a K-1

Hello! Good news, we were approved on the spot! We arrived to our 10:00 am interview 20 minutes early, they didn't call us until 10:40. We got an older officer. Asked for our IDs, my passport, EAD card, and I-94. Basically he just asked and confirmed information on the forms and that's it. Did not ask for any additional documents or information, he said we had included plenty with our original package. The interview lasted 20 minutes and we were mostly chatting.

Thank you everyone for posting and support. Good luck! :)
