Blah - got a RFE on the 9th of February - how fun !!

Went in two weeks ago to drop off, but with still no info on status I went in today to have a talk.

Wow - they want one more thing - so I am prepping that tonight.

Good News? They have a drop box - so I can drop off stuff and a human will see it.

So, I'm a blethering idiot - it was a NOID, not a RFE.

Regardless, I submitted another pile of evidence in response, I think 6th of March? (sorry, brain really muddled from all this pond jumping)

and

today I went in for an InfoPass appointment, to learn of any casefile status.

Shazaam ! Approved on 23 March 2013. Yup, that was a saturday. The casefile (so I'm told) is sitting in a pile of other casefiles pegged to go out to NVC asap.

Whew ! one less thing !

Well, officially, it not leave the Dallas Field Office (in Irving) till April 25th. I went in after lunch, to ask where the casefile was, and was told it wasn't in the building anymore.

Later in the afternoon,

I called my ILS Human, who was trying to find out if it was headed to NVC or NRC.

I called an ISO, same question

On the 26th, I got a call from a human inside the USCIS building, telling me that the casefile left yesterday. I asked him to walk the building , check, and verify it went to NVC and NOT NRC. That human called me back, verified it left and verified where it went. I got this call cause my ILS human asked him to call me.

So - more waiting for NVC to get the file - is rumour that it might hit the door today, but I'm not getting busy, really, till the 13th o May.

I dunno why you had so much trouble with this file Darnell. Makes me wonder if someone wasn't purposely being an a$$holio.

A followup, a bit weird.

All along, I knew the casefile was headed to Guangzhou, and I'd be enrolling in and utilizing Electronic Processing.

I front loaded the I-130 with about 7 inches of stuff,

and

I verified with an NVC Supervisor that the electronic version of the I-130 stored in SAFEFILE at NVC did not contain any of the bonafide marriage evidence. I've no clue where it went, but

I learned of this early, right after I paid the AOS fee, and slammed in 700 pages into NVC with the DS-230 submittal.

Still, my wife has to hand-carry the pile, regardless.

I SO HATE THE DALLAS LOCAL OFFICE - if this casefile was at CSC or VSC, that stuff would have been scanned as part of the A-File before it left the service center, and auto-merged into the SAFEFILE version at NVC.
