when we called the other day the tier 2 officer said they were working on Oct2-6 petitions...doubt it though. we are October 5 and we haven't heard anything yet. really seems like they are working on getting all from August and September done.

Fair enough, I guess. Makes sense doesn't it? Hopefully that'll be sorted out soon though and then the October filers will be rolling in! :star:

We filed at the end of October, so I don't expect to hear anything until next month.

But now I got something else to worry about. I read here on VJ that some people got their visa denied after the interview for lack of income. My US fiancé is in a wheelchair, he is on disability. I have no idea how I'm gonna prove whoever is interviewing me that I wont be a public charge... But one step at a time =)

WOW -- I never thought of that! It doesn't hurt to try! Today I requested an expedite under the criteria of "severe financial loss" (aka-- the job).

Thank you SO much for the idea!!! I really appreciate the sincerity of the gesture.

That's why this site is so great -- people who really wish each other the best and help each other out, with no personal benefit... Except karma! You've got good karma coming your way!! :star: I hope it comes in the form of a speedy approval!! ;)

I'll let you know how the expedite request turns out!

How do you apply for an expedited application???

How do you apply for an expedited application???

I just called USCIC to talk with a customer service rep. I told her I wanted to file an expedite, she read off the criteria for expedite and asked me which one I was filing an expedite for and asked for some initial info. Within a few a week I got an email asking for supporting documentation which I faxed to CSC.

Coincidentally, I got the rejection for the expedite request this afternoon.

Aand CSC recently increased the processing time from 5.5 months from 7.5 months..

OMG I'm sorry to hear that.

I am in a situation slightly similar to yours. I am a curriculum specialist for my school. I have a 10 month contract, but have applied to move up into administration. I am frustrated because I want to go to DR to spend the summer (while I wait for our approval and interview) but I cannot make those plans till I find out if I will need to work over the summer.

Everything is in a limbo for all of us. Our lives are on hold because our fiancé's are not with us. If my fiancé were here with me, I'd be able to accept a job. If I accept a job, I will have a difficult time going to DR for the interview...it's all very frustrating.

I have my calendar marked every 10 days... I've looked at averages...made calculations...prayed...I'm just hoping that I hear something soon.

Noa1: 10/20/12, no RFEs to date, my receipt number is still not found in the system (after almost 6 complete months, I'm still told not to worry about it). :"0(

It does look like VSC is getting through some older files the last couple of days (for VJ members, anyway), so that's very good for those folks that have been waiting longer. But, I looked at USCIS website this morning and RFEs have been issued on 3 petitions on Wed and Thur for apps that look like they are from the Oct. 9 - 10 NOA range, so they do have October files in hand!

I found the info by entering EAC numbers lower than mine until I found I-129f filers. It will show the same information as if you were looking at your own EAC (or WAC number for CSC filers). Sometimes it will show the actual NOA1 date, sometimes it will show "your Alien registration number was changed on so and so date". Looks to be that that ones showing a "change in Alien registration number" have a date of about 6-7 days after the actual NOA1 date (compared to other filers in the same block that show the actual NOA1 date). I saw 3 EAC numbers in a block of filers that show "on Oct. 16 your alien registration number was changed" that indicate an RFE was issued on Apr. 3 and Apr. 4. So, it looks like someone at VSC has a box with some Oct. 9-10 files in it.

This is all speculative of course but since there have been some Oct. VJ filers have been adjudicated (some after my NOA1 date) and there are some very recent RFEs for October filers - not on VJ - then they are definitely moving into the October files. :)

LOL that you can just whack in other people's case numbers and see what's going on with their case. Kinda hilarious!!
