We just got our email about GC production as well!

Hi Folks,

I just checked online of my case status.. that they have ordered production of new card on April 24th and we should be receiving it in next 30 days. I will check my mail later on tonight. I want to say Thanks to the many wonderful people here on this site for guidance.

Quick question: Did you sign up for e-mail/text notification; and did you receive that notification before the letter in the mail?

10/16/2012 - Mailed Package (Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation) to CSC

10/18/2012 - Package received by CSC; we sent official bank check so we won't know when the check is cashed

10/18/2012 - NOA1 date (hard copy received 10/29)

11/16/2012 - Biometrics appointment

01/04/2013 - Conditional GC expires

05/23/2013 - Notification of card being mailed (approval; letter received 05/30)

xx/xx/2013 - 10 year GC received!

RFEs are normally sent in the mail. If possible, I would arrange with someone to check your mail on your behalf once a week or so while you're gone. However, even if you're gone for 5 weeks and you got an RFE on the very first day of your absence, you would still have enough time to respond after you're back, as they usually allow 90 days for a response.

June 26, 2010 - civil wedding
Aug 2, 2010 - I-130 package mailed to the London Consulate (DCF)
Aug 9, 2010 - NOA1 (confirmation of receipt) via email
Sep 4, 2010 - religious wedding
Oct 21, 2010 - NOA2
Nov 25, 2010 - Case number received in the mail

MRTEE12 I am in the same boat...came back from a holiday to sunny San Fran to a letter saying we need to provide more evidence of "good faith marriage"

It's is so frustrating, it claims there is not much evidence of "co/mingling" of finances...the problem for us is we live with family (so tenancy is not in our joint names) and we have our own bank accounts and no joint bills. I can show we live at the same address but we are my necessarily financially tied...I have looked at the advice you have offered MRTEE12 and I have requested from HR my life insurance indicating husband as beneficiary, going to send tax returns and a letter from the rental management company stating the timeframe of my occupancy...I think I may have fallen into the trap of sending recent info eater than covering the entire period of the marriage...I can print off bank statements throughout and show transfers between the 2 of us, although we don't share an account there is clearly "action" between us...

He also had his own insurance (health) until recently, so he was only added to mine in September 2012...not the entire period of the marriage...I guess Ivan accompany these new documents with a letter and worse comes to worse they will call us in for interview? I'd like to avoid that if possible, but so be it! Sorry for rambling on...just frustrated (and typing on an Iphone!)

RFEs are normally sent in the mail. If possible, I would arrange with someone to check your mail on your behalf once a week or so while you're gone. However, even if you're gone for 5 weeks and you got an RFE on the very first day of your absence, you would still have enough time to respond after you're back, as they usually allow 90 days for a response.

Im overwhelmed Christi.Thanks for the response and glad to know 90 days is the time period.Hope i don't get RFE.
