Natural Children Fiance/Petitioner-Expediting a K-1

5 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

My fiancee and I have two children together that were born abroad. Both children have went through the process in China of interviewing and form collection and have rec'd their passports/SS# and Born Abroad certificates of birth.

Now it is time to apply for my fiancees visa for her and her daughter who will become my step daughter.

My question is since we have a common thread in place with our two children can I get her visa expedited?

If so...How?

Unless your fiance meets expedite criteria, there is nothing you can do but wait for her fiancee petition to be approved. Having children together is not a reason to expedite a K-1 petition.

Agree

Having a child together doesn't make things go faster or more easily. Though that is a common misconception.
