A week or so ago the AOS Fee appeared on the portal for our case, and we paid it. Since then I've received an email telling us to lodge the AOS packet. I'm working on that right now.

Then today I got an email telling us to pay the IV Application Processing Fee ($230), and it's there waiting for us to pay at the portal.

Is that usual? To be billed for the IV Application Processing before you've even lodged the AOS packet?

Both are two separate tracks, they are not dependent on eachother........ you can pay the IV bill and send out both packages are the same time if you have the IV package complete

AOS and IV are seperate, parallel tracks, not dependent on each other.

for the IV fee bill to 'show up' - the DS-3032 was added to the casefile - so that's a plus, one less thing to worry about.

Plus points to you for reading the I-130 guide here.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
