Does this mean the NOA2 is in the mail? So that means next step is that they send it all to Haiti to be processed? Oh my goodness! I'm getting nervous & excited & it's starting to seem real!

On September 5, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations."

Yes, the NOA2 is in the mail to the petitioner. The visa packet goes to the NVC now for approval and then to the Embassy.

It looks as so but I am confused since your timeline states you just received your NOA1 last week :blink:

Yeah! But Haiti is supposed to be expedited & I requested expediting too. Not sure WHY it went so fast, but that was FAST! Now just crossing my fingers & praying that there's no mistake & that I get the letter soon.

Well done, I believe the only thing that stands between you and your dreams is the stupid voice in your head that tells you it's not possible :)

Thanks. Granted, I won't probably ever know if it was my request that moved it through so fast, or if it moved quickly because of the Haitian applications being pushed ahead. Maybe the combination of the two helped.

I'm sure it was your expedited request that made yours go so fast... I applied for mine in June and I am still waiting on NOA2 for the same country: Haiti :-)

Now I'm hoping to get mine by November!

I'm sure it was your expedited request that made yours go so fast... I applied for mine in June and I am still waiting on NOA2 for the same country: Haiti :-)

Now I'm hoping to get mine by November!

I would contact them & remind them that it's supposed to be expedited. Granted, expediting our requests means that someone else's application gets pushed back. I really believed that my expedite was necessary, or I wouldn't have made the request. But still, they are expediting Haiti for a reason. The situation in Haiti, as you know, is putting a lot of pressure on the people, government and international aid. I see it like this: if my fiance is able to leave & come up here, he will help by sending money back to his family, as well as opening up a place for someone in Haiti to live, and providing a job for someone there (since he's employed full-time in a bank).

I wish you all the luck!

I did not do the extra expedite; so I tried calling earlier this month stating that Haiti was supposed to be expedite automatically but a lady told me that it is still within normal processing time. That I will most likely receive the approval letter sometime in Nov/Dec (given there are no requests for more evidence)--I'll be visiting my fiance soon and hope to get the approval soon and we can get doctors appts, police certificates and such while I'm there :)
