From what I read, it might or might not speed up the process. It seems to depend on your local office. If it is backed up it seems to not matter but if they are fast and just waiting for it, it might. My appointment was really early in the morning... not so easy to put into my schedule ;). Plus I wanted to get over with it.

Is there any significant benefit to you doing a walk-in at this time? Judging by past commentary in the forums on that point, it doesn't seem like it'll make any real impact, especially since October 11 isn't all that far away. I thought about doing a walk-in as well (Jamaica ASC in Queens, NY), but ultimately decided it wouldn't be worth the trouble. My date is October 4th.

only if you want your EAD quicker. On GC it won't make any difference. B-)

Yes, I had to look 5 minutes for it. It is called receipt number on the upper left of your I-767c, once you get them in a week or two.

It doesn't necessarily speed up EAD or AP. From what I have seen most are getting interviews long before they get EAD, unless you have RFEs on I 485 or a very slow local office..

In case you want to expedite your EAD, you can do only after completion of Biometrics.

Also in regular timing, EAD moves ahead after Biometrics completed.

That is my understanding. May be senior members can share their thoughts.

How we can interpret case number ?

for ex: XYZ1133345555

Also, if anybody have any idea how the cases get forwarded to service centres

For ex: MSC or CSC

Is this based on your location?

My understanding is that MSC (Missouri) is the National Benefits Center, and I would assume the others refer to California, Texas, and Vermont centers––but I am not sure and others are welcome to advise.
