Not to hurt anyones feelings but I am real sick of seeing people getting approved in 2 months while we sit in limbo. Soon gonna tell the USCIS to shove their bloody greencard where the sun don't shine.

Not to be negative either, but I feel the same way. I'm pleased for these people. But, it's a complete joke that there are approvals within several weeks and some of us have been waiting over 6 months since transfer. And I know there are some around who have been waiting even longer!

28th May 06 - Arrive in Texas!

8th July 06 - Married!!!

3rd August 06 - EAD received at USCIS

29th August 06 - Biometrics

18th September 06 - Case (AOS) transfered to CSC on 9/14 (advised by mail)

4/6/10th October 06 - EAD touched!

11th October 06 - Email from USCIS - EAD Approved on 10/10! Card on the way!

16th October 06 - EAD card received!

16th October 06 - EAD Application email received confirming letter to be sent.

22nd February 07 - Email sent to USCIS requesting an update.

5th March 07 - Case touched! AOS is now "pending" at the CSC! Progress!

5th March 07 - Email from CSC confirming I am awaiting the results of the FBI name check.

27th April 07 - Email received. A notice requesting additional info has been mailed.

4th May 07 - RFE letter arrived.

21st May 07 - RFE docs returned to USCIS by mail.

6th June 07 - Email from CRIS saying RFE received and case processing has resumed!

26th June 07 - Phone call from a USCIS officer at the CSC in California asking for a copy of my I-94 by fax.

27th June 07 - InfoPass appointment at 745am.

12th August 07 - Email from CRIS - Green Card on order as of 8/11!

15th August 07 - Email from CRIS - Welcome Notice sent.

18th August 07 - Welcome Notice Received.

20th August 07 - GC received!

HEEP HEEP HOORAY!!! :dance::dance::dance: Just got an email from CRIS yesterday saying that they ordered card production on my AOS. Thank GOD!!!

I hope and pray for everyone who are still waiting. Thank you to all, good luck and take care always.

HOORAY! HOORAY!! HOORAY!!! WHAT A GREAT AND BLESSED MARRIED LIFE AFTER TWO AND A HALF YEARS OF VISA WAITING!

Well, as the saying goes... "GOD seldom does great things in a hurry, so let us wait patiently. Patience means awaiting GOD's time without doubting GOD's love"... Now I believe GOD has rewarded my Loveydovey and me.

On March 20, 2007 (first day of Spring) marks my 159th day of warmth, good cheer and happiness here in North Carolina. After more than 4 months now being married to my one and only loveydovey, sweet, loving and thoughtful Mahal, all I can say is thank GOD, WHAT MORE CAN I ASK FOR? Thank you very much GOD for this special love!***

And now with my EAD and AOS approved, WOW! USCIS, YOU ARE WONDERFUL!

:( Nothing here since the 12th. I knew they were just messing with my head. And I for one am just about over it. Not to hurt anyones feelings but I am real sick of seeing people getting approved in 2 months while we sit in limbo. Soon gonna tell the USCIS to shove their bloody greencard where the sun don't shine.

Trust me I understand. When I see "those" posts, I usually get quiet frustrated. Solely for the purpose of the FBI Name check.

My wife worked on a British Naval Base, so we know the problem is not there. But because she has a name common to here, we get penalized. While I am happy for the people that do get approved, i just cant bring my self to post a "congrats". Unless of course it is someone we have gotten to know on this sight and have seen their struggle with the process.

I'm the same way with the congrats. Sorry all not that I'm not happy for you I'm just beyond frustrated. I can not grasp the concept of why a name check would take this long at this point. Seems to me you'd think they woud have done that before they allowed us to come to this country in the first place. Seems like they have their priorities a bit mixed up why not do this in the K1 process?? We've been here for almost a year not don't ya think if we had bad intentions we would have had more than enough time to do something already???? Sorry for the rant but I am just so so frustrated. I don't understand how they can sit on their A** while some of us sit in He** waiting on them.

Freda, KaffyKat, all those waiting with us, my husband has already stated how frustrated we are with the system, and the constant limbo, and I thought I'd post my agreement. I was reading an article called Name-Check Game about people who have been waiting forever and a day since their citizenship test and interview, with still no end in sight because of this Name Check limbo. Since December last year I have been emailing news outlets across the USA trying to see if someone cannot actually run the story from our perspective, who are in limbo in AOS with no green card and no countdown to citizenship. I got a reply from one journalist in January who wrote:

"I'm sorry, I've been inundated with other stories and have not been able to explore the situation with regard to the FBI namecheck, other than to talk with some immigration lawyers and confirm it is, indeed, a problem.

I wish I could devote more time to it, but I don't see it happening in the next few weeks. But check back, I think it's something we might be able to deal with at some point.

I'm sorry I don't have better news, or more time."

Today I, once again, put together an email and posted it out to a bunch of media outlets just laying down what it is like living in this limbo and asking them if they want to run an article from our perspective. I don't plan on holding my breath.

Sometimes the frustration really gets to me and I feel so completely down because its so hopeless and dependant on a process that doesn't seem to know how to fix itself. Congressmen and Senators, and even the email to the CSC itself gleaned us nothing but a 'pending FBI name check' which is all well and good to know, but it is the ceaseless waiting that is the hardest to take. At least if we knew where the end was, we would have a sense of progress but, when it can be over in 2 minutes or two years, the waiting does get heartbreaking.

And no, I can't bring myself to congratulate those who have applied after us and have since been approved - my heart just isn't in it any more. But I'll keep sending my emails, and I will keep googling "FBI Name Check" in the news to see if anybody has taken up our plight, and I will keep checking my online status because at least if I am looking at it, I can kid myself that I am making headway even when we all know that is so not true.

I'll let you know if anyone replies about my emails, and I will let you know if any articles turn up online. Meanwhile my fingers are crossed for each of you that this incessent waiting will glean us some approvals soon, and I hope feedback and progress is imminent. Though, I have to say, typing with your fingers crossed is harder than you think... ;)

Any advise on keeping focused and not giving up lal brandow? I don't know if I could hang on as long as you. Not to insult anyone but it's not like I came here from a country at war or hardship to escape. I had a damn good life in Canada. A full time job as a nurse a home, family, friends and a life. It's hard enough starting over but to go through this is insane. I'm sure some of my frustration other issues like not having seen my family in almost a year. And missing my twin sister desperately. But still. Damn can't they just do their job and stop being total A**e*?

September 15th 2005: email stating AOS transferred to CSC (day 20)

September 16th 2006: Biometrics (day 21)

September 18th 2006: EAD and AOS Touched (day 23)

September 21st 2006: Snail mail transfer notice (day26)

October 18th 2006: Still waiting (day 53)

November 2nd 2006: Still waiting (day 68)

Jan. 11 2007 : Still waiting nothing since September 18 (day 138)

November 22 2006: EAD Approved

Feb. 22 2007: Still waiting (day 180)

March 5th 2007: Finally a touch case now pending at the office it was transferred to wooooooohoooooooooo (day 190)

March 6 2007: Touched again (day 191)

March 7 2007: Another touch ( ohhhhhhhh I'm all fluttery inside ) (day 192)

March 12 2007: Touched (day 197)

April 3 2007: Touched ( day 220)

April 4 2007 : Touched (day 221)

April 6 2007: Approved (day 223)
