So, with your logic.....If every month k-1 applicants fill all the interview seats, then an IR-1/CR-1 applicant will NEVER get an interview seat.

I don't really know how they work their interviews slot but that is all that I can say that NVC have nothing to do with K1 interviews....and actually their cases reach the Embassies quicker than our IR cases! Let's keep the faith is coming soon hopefully! Cheer up.

You don't have to educate me about k-1....I have filed both for my wife.

I already went through the entire k-1 process with my wife.

Hahahaha.... your funny Dana. If I could, I definately would.

Do you know how many IR-1/CR-1 applicants from the past tell me that I am wrong about NVC.

They keep telling me that interviews for IR-1/CR-1 applicants are scheduled all month long.

Some people just cannot be educated about new procedures(Ryan H)

      Now I'm cracking up! I guess if we all get scheduled next week then we will have a few new believers in the house. Some folks just don't have any faith at-tall! :D

That's the way I'm seeing it here for a couple of months with 9ja!

Winnie George, has done the same thing! And this is exactly why I didn't file K1. I just said screw it, I'm not wasting the money. I'd rather go back home to him and get married. So that is what we did, then filed this way. You two are strong! This "one" process has been nerve wracking enough, thank you very much!

The NVC has been saying the second Tuesday of the month stuff for over two years. They never went by it before and even now they are not completely going by it. However, it is hard to see what is really going on because every embassy is different with different interviews, etc so they can not really be compared to each other. All any of us really know right now, is that they are delaying much longer than they use too, which is hard for everyone.

But let's look at it from a business standpoint. With a CR/IR visa, the u s gov't has already got all the money they are getting from you. Now on the other hand, for a K-1, before they can schedule an interview, they have to pay the DS-160 fee. If you think you can get an interview very quickly, you will pay the fee quickly. If you think it may be several months, why bother rushing to pay it. The embassy generates more money by giving more k-1 interviews than CR/IR interviews, plus it is on the books as money they generated, not the NVC. This may not sound logical for them to do this, but there is nothing really logical about the whole process, and for some strange reason, I certainly wound not put it past them. And why is it in manila that if you want to try to get a tourist visa, you can get an interview almost immediately, and are even encouraged to reapply when you are shot down the first time.

Oh well, my boredom is over now so I am though ranting and spreading possible misinformation.

Good luck to everyone and I guess we will find out next week if the 2nd tuesday stuff is real.

My case was complete on August 28th, still waiting for an interview to be scheduled.

Speaking of the previous way of scheduling interviews: my friend got his interview scheduled a week after his case was complete earlier in the year, but the interview was slated for another two months.

The question is: in this new format of scheduling interviews, will we have to wait longer than the previous format, plus the two or so months?? How is that any better? I would rather wait a bit longer, and have the interview scheduled on the date it would have got scheduled on under the older format; but if they are going to make us wait longer for an interview, and then tack on the two or so months on top of that, well, that's just BS.

I have heard that they schedule interviews in 2nd week of each month. Depending on when your case got completed and how many are waiting before you from your country, your interview will be scheduled. So between 15th to 20th of each month they send emails to the people for whom they have scheduled interviews.
