I'm just curious about it. Is there any member here that has the same experience like we had been through right now, especially from fellow Filipinos?

Husband filed I-130 for IR-1/CR-1 last September 2011..It's been almost a year now but no word at all. If you guys want to ask if we did call USCIS, contact Congressman, contact Senator, contact Ombudsman, yes we did but still no to avail.

Thanks in advance

That doesn't sound right.

By "no word" what exactly do you mean? The Infopass had to yield some sort of status update.

My husband said that when he went to the local USCIS office, the guy just asked the receipt number and then type it like the one we did to check the status and said, it's still on process. He bothered going there just to get the same answer which we can do it online

Something is not right here! Can you give us more details and don't skimp on anything "bad" about this petition. You're hidden via your user name anyway and there's no way for us to know you personally. Your situation simply is outrageous based on what you have stated so far.

Any details like?

Husband sent I-130 last September 2011 at CSC but on September 30, he received a notice stating that it was transferred to Vermont. Husband is a US Citizen. Like normal processing times we had read, he called USCIS office after 6months and 2 weeks because we are still hoping that NOA2 will come. Then we started panicking after 7 months passed so he asked the Congressman's office, then Senator's office. Then inquired at VSC on July and had this reply:

Date: Tuesday, July 31, 2012, 10:44 AM

Please do not reply to this e-mail. This is an automated e-mail message to inform you that your inquiry has been received by the Vermont Service Center National Customer Service Center (NCSC) Follow Up Team. This auto reply message will serve as a record of our receiving your inquiry. Your inquiry will be answered in the order in which it was received.

The purpose of this account is to assist petitioners, applicants or their authorized representatives who have contacted the NCSC number ( 1-800-375-5283 ) with an inquiry but feel their inquiry was not adequately addressed within 15 days or who feel that the response received from the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) was not sufficient.

Thank you for your time and patience.

Another one from the Ombudsman with this reply:

Cc: CISOMBUDSMAN.CASES@HQ.DHS.GOV

Date: Tuesday, August 14, 2012, 3:53 PM

Thank you for contacting DHS Ombudsman about Randy

Please keep your submission number, xxxxxxxxxxxxx, for future reference.

Please do not reply to this email.

By the way, this is Ashley..sorry i dont know how to do my settings

thanks

Hi Vic20r,

As my knowledge, it takes a month to have a NOA2 after you receive NOA1...Hope and pray that it will come soon to you...Good luck

But the problem is that my NOA1 arrived and dated SEPTEMBER 23, 2011...NOTE: 2011...And it's SEPTEMBER 3, 2012 now...

I haven't heard that NOA2 will arrive as early as 1month with IR-1/CR-1. Most of the thread i read is from 3 to 6 months...

Thank anyway,

Ashley

Transfers between Service Centers result in "lost petitions" at times; going by the statements from a few posters in this forum. There's a chance, IMO, that perhaps the petition was lost in the transition. Why was it transferred from CSC to VSC? Is it because of your location?

Could an RFE (Request for Evidence) been sent to an old address you have and you have not replied to it? But all these would have been reflected on your USCIS #s status on the USCIS web site.

Feed us more information so we can direct you further or at least give you some advise on what action to take. ONE YEAR is just too much!!!And not right...

It was transferred because at that time Vermont was lightning speed and Cali was slow.

OP...try to contact "Darnell" for more advice.

Did your husband send you a copy of the NOA1? If not, ask him to scan a copy to you.
