My sister applied for citizenship last week of april and she had her biometrics done but until now she has not received any letter about her interview date. Does it normally take this long to process everything? Thanks.

My wife applied in March and just had her oath ceremony two weeks ago. Of course it varies but she should be hearing soon.

I had mine done in April too but I didn't get my letter until mid May for an interview but this was in Los Angeles county and many years ago. Good luck!

Oo, we are almost finished. All that's left after the interview is the oath ceremony...and applying for a U.S. passport.

We're still thinking about a visit to 'Pinas in February.

I'm an April filer too. It matters what Service Center she sent her application. Did she sent it to TX or AZ?

Service center has nothing to do with delays.

Many filers from TX and AZ service centers who applied in June already US citizens now and some already almost done.

It has to do with your local office. This is the office that handle your case after the biometric is done (scheduling interview, bla bla all the way to oath cermony)

Best way is to follow members from the same local office and track their timeline, it will give you an idea about what to expect.

Needless to say, every case is different, but if your case got out the processing time, you need to call and put a service request.

Has she logged into the uscis web site nd tracked where her status is now. I filed the last week of April and my Oath ceremony is in 9 days from now. Most of the filers in April have all at least had an interview by now. Very odd that your sister has heard nothing. I would also make an info pass appoinment to find out whats going on.

She just called today and told them that it has been 5mons and as usual they were useless. They said that new orleans' office is still processing march filers and to wait for 61days till she hears something.
