Hi everyone !

Being in that big K-1 visa process, Ive been focusing too much on it and then I've started thinking about what to do when I'll move out there. Yup I've thought of it before, but without really being sure about it.

So, what's your plans when your visa will be approved and then you'll be there for good ? Will you start working, studiying, or anything else ?

I'd like to know :)

Thanks!

Celia

I can speak for my wife, our plans are for her to get familiar with the city and our neighborhood for about a month. After, she will begin to take advanced english classes for 2 or 3 months and begin an associates.

My wife is young, we don't have children, I would really like for her to get an associates (at least), I rather she gets a bachelor's; but we will have to see how much drive and success she will have with her first two years of schooling. During this time I would also like for us to travel and really enjoy each others company.

Those are the plans I gues we will have to wait and see.

First of all, I'm going to focus on getting a driver's licence since there's no exchange between France and New York state :crying:

Then I wanted to go back to school for a master's degree since I already have a french bachelor... But I started to look how much it would cost and it's way too expensive so I think I'm just going to try to find a job :energy: We'll see what happens ; the things that is important is trying not to stress too much

I think that you can simply write on your resume that you have a french equivalent of an associate and it will be ok. It's a 2 years degree, it's worth the same, it is just not american

If you want to get a higher degree, maybe the solution is to study with the CNED or another french homeschooling company, it will cost you a lot less. French and european diplomas are well recognized all over the world with no problem normally. Remember also that in USA, skills are often more important than degrees ; it's not like in France.

Drivers license, helping my man move into a bigger place, joining a gym, and when my green card comes hopefully gaining employment with a US airline! Oh and I'm going to get a garden started and grow all our own veg! Absolutely going to miss home - it's dawning on me now.... Nervous.

My fiancé is taking a week off from his job so we can spend quality time together, do some shopping for the wedding and many other fun activities in Chicago. Then after the wedding and my AOS, I'll start looking for a job, get a driver's licence, and I also intend to go to college. Since we both love to travel, we plan on visiting many fun places such as Hawaii, my fiancé's home town, relatives and my sister who lives in New York.

We never spent the Christmas together, so we're both very excited to get our first tree!

Mainly, I just can't wait to see him again!

My plans will be to obviously plan our wedding first, then start the process of AOS, hopefully if things go well I will be able to get my drivers license.

Me and my fiance have a 6 month son together, so we want him to get adjusted, get used to the Florida climate!

I will be staying with him until he starts kindergarten, then I would like to get back into work again, either Retail or Office.

One of the first things I want to do there is take my son to Disney world. :)

Nice to see a thread like this on here, I hope you all have a good visa journey! :)
