Hi all,

I received a letter today from USCIS. The letter stated that the I-130 is approved and the NVC in Portmouth , NH will contact my wife in Manilla within 30 days.

Can anyone tell me if that will be by letter or email?

Also, if by letter can anyone tell me how long it takes to get through the Philippines mail system. Can a letter actually get to my wife in 30 days?

Your approved case will be sent to NVC for further processing, you have to keep calling NVC to find out if they have your case yet...... read through this thread to learn each step............http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/380887-nvc-filers-august-2012/

For your IR-1/CR-1 case you should start calling NVC 2 weeks from your approval date. Get your all documents ready for NVC process.

You must initiate contact with NVC, use a telephone. Read post #1 at the NVC August 2012 thread, click through all the links and read the content.

Usually, in about 30 days or so, NVC will actually snail mail a DS3032 to your wife. That's their way of doing things. The links you've been given are a far better method of moving things along. Time to become an expert on those shortcuts.
