Printers-what are you using at home

Well I figure we are probably the largest (well not really but still) audience of short term home printers so I thought I would go to the source.

I have a boatload to print and my HP is just eating that fancy dancy ink and so slow (and its a nice photo scanner faxer copier. So I ask VJ family

whats a good home printer to use that maybe be a bit fast (even though speed isn't that big a deal) and also that doesn't eat all the ink. It's all black and white.

and no using copier at work printing 1000's of pages well you know discretion is key.

Look for cheaper laser printer if you are only going to print black and white.

I am not sure how much the ink cartridge are for them but they should last lot longe and should be faster too.

I have seen laser printer as cheap as $99 don't have link handy, I think it was on Compusa

laser printers are cheaper, especially the black&white only.

Go to a printing company and have them do it for you. The little store around the corner from me prints for 3 cents (USD) a page (black and white). Cheaper than buying a printer, that's for sure!

Getting my hsbands evidence ready for interview. This is Lagos baby. I will leave nothing unturned. Rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Just email, IM's, TExting liofs. 3 (3 inch binders), 2 albums and a folder with key things updates, name, change, letters, you know. He will have it all neatly and nicely done.

I love my VJ peeps they just know it. Thank you so much. will be going shopping on payday. Cuz this HP and its color ink and black and white (thats $18.99 the black and white alone and won't last 200 pages). Thank you

That wouldn't be less cost and alot of this is me bringing up email and just printing so nothing saved away on disk. And I have about 3000 total pages to print so I figure maybe $100 in ink and $100 for printer is so much better. but thanks I wish I could take it to a printer and their lightening fast printers rint for me,.

I might cut it down to 2 binders or heck maybe one. I still have to hole punch and label these monsters. Wooo weee. I just look at all that texts and well its like wow. now the Facebook I am printing all that its 725 pages from when we first meet for 1 1/2 years so they got the before. than I have the 6 1/2 months when I lived in Nigeria and now the massive part is all this after. just since March when I loaded the software to phone I have 5300 text OMG and thats just my incoming.

But at least the text prints like 10 or so to a page.

Than there's whatsapps. The BIG ticket item will be the photos and thse won;t be done until after the wedding when i get there. But I am doing an album on Shutterfly just for kicks to take now. Sothat should be done next week.

So we'll see what the final tally will be.

hi ! are you Case complete ? i think were both on the same timeline like us were waiting the paccket 4 to show paid. and were planning to send together the aos and packet IV but wht address should we put coz both packet have different dept addressie so i put them separate envelop and 2 envelop will put in 1 envelop so wht will be the adress the AOS or the Packet iv?

With the volume one would be printing for this process I don't think there is a printer just go and buy tons of ink......

FYI if you are using inkjet then you may get your cartridge refilled at Costco / Walgreens etc. Just check if they support a specific cartridge model for refill. Or you may also look after re-manufactured cheap cartridges on ebay. If you are tired of inkjet then go with laser monochrome (considering you don't need to color pages) which may cost less than 100 bucks.

I advice you to read Consumer Reports (if you have their subscription) about best printer for the price you want to pay. Otherwise check on CNET for free reviews about each models and also check on Amazon for ratings.

Buying a new printer for a cheap price does not mean you save money unless it has the best print speed and lowest cost to print one page.
