There are two addresses. One is for "Express and courier service". One is for US Postal Service. Both end up at the Dallas lock box. The addresses are on your I-129F instructions and indicate this. YES! You do send to the Dallas lock box, and you will use the address listed on the intructions that pertains to your method of sending the petition. When it arrives in Dallas, they will determine which service center it will go to. Being in Oregon, it will most likely end up at CSC (California Service Center). You will know when they send you the first Notice of Action (NOA1) as this is a receipt, and the service center is indicated on the receipt along with your receipt number.

Depends on how you send it. P.O. Box 660151, Dallas, Texas 75266 is the address to send it to if you are sending it via U.S.P.S. That is where we sent ours. I am also from Oregon so you should be routed to California from the Dallas lock box.

"US Department of Homeland Security" to be exact. This is what we have been telling you, and the instructions indicate this. Don't write "Homeland Security" only though. We aren't trying to trick you. :bonk:

Awesome :) thank you so much for your help. "US Department of Homeland Security" is what i'll write on the check.

I don't mind paying for UPS, it will get there faster and i'll be assured it gets there. so the address i have (being physical) will work i believe. the non-po box one.

Oh cool, so i will send it to the 2501 South State Highway 121 Business

Suite 400

Lewisville, TX 75067

address for ups. and from there they will send it to the CSC most likely.

The address you have there is for "Express mail and courier deliveries".

The USPS address is:

USCIS

PO Box 660151

Dallas, TX 75266

It depends on how you send it, but they both go to the same place. Then, it is determined which service center it will be forwarded to.

Where are you reading this? You send the petition to USCIS. The I-129F instructions clearly state to write the check out to "U.S. Department of Homeland Security" in bold print. US Department of Homeland Security is correct if you want your check cashed.

Here is the link where i read to make the check written out to USCIS. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=64f897e6621af010VgnVCM1000000ecd190aRCRD&vgnextchannel=fe529c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

they say USCIS, but yes the instructions do read US Department of Homeland Security.

Those are not instructions to the I-129F. USCIS says US Department of Homeland Security. This is not in reference to the filing of I-129F petition.

That page is not associated with the I-129F form. The I-129F is not even an application for anything. It is a petition.

Here is the page for the I-129F: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=a10e4154d7b3d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

Always read and follow the instructions for any form you fill out. The I-129F instructions tell you where to mail it, what the fee is and who to make the check out to.

Page 4 of the I-129f instructions tells you who to write the check out to. Here is the link to the instructions: I-129f Instructions

Uncle Spooky Turtle would have mentioned that, eventually....

So, with the reference to the instructions, it's a great idea for the OP to reread all of the instructions again, as it very well may be, that the OP missed something else from the instructions.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Yes... Check is made out to US Department of Homeland Security and the petition goes to Dallas Lockbox. In theory, if you complete the G1145 form you will be advised when your petition is received. (unfortunately this did not happen for us, but its still worth doing).

Your best plan is to follow the Guides and refer to the Example Forms as to the format (see top of this page).

Read and re-read everything, and put all your papers in order. Check back here for anything you need to query.

Best of luck.

its "department of homeland security" but the fee isnt 340.00 anymore the fees went down on april something.....go on uscis and check it out

That is INCORRECT!

The visa petition fee is $340 payable to the US Department of Homeland Security, the visa application fee is $240.
