As much as I would love to belong to the September interview group, I'm afraid I'll have to wait until October. Not expecting my date for a few more weeks.

hi i am just curious..why you guys are waiting for interview dates? you can book your own appointment date right? or call for scheduling the interview date.. when we hve our visa case number and aproval from NVC we paid our k1 visa fee right away thru bpi bank and schedule an interview thru phone..this way it will be faster..

I believe K-1 schedule your own interview dates, but most of these are Cr-1 and the NVC schedules the interview at the Embassy; little bit of difference between the two.

I'm not sure when our case was completed...but we got our email today, telling us the interview is Sept 11th, 6:15am!

Update: My wife is pregnant, with a due date of October 5th. Our CR-1 interview date was scheduled for September 11th. She went in for an OB check up and the doctor told her it's quite likely that she will give birth 2-3 weeks early...around September 15th. We really want to give birth here in the states so I called the U.S. Embassy twice, trying to get her interview moved to an earlier date, but no luck. Both times I was told that since NVC scheduled her interview, they couldn't change it to an earlier time. We figured that was it, and we'll see what happens. Last week my wife made a new friend at her St. Luke's exam and just last night she got a text from her new friend, telling her that she rescheduled her K1 interview, to about 3 weeks earlier. My wife asked me to call the embassy again. I figured it was a waste of time but being a good hubby, I said fine, I'll try. This time, the woman I spoke with was very helpful, and got us a new interview date...this Friday, August 17th! I didn't even ask for an expedite or claim any emergency, she just gave us the new appointment. With all the flooding, and closing of the embassy last week, I was really shocked that they had available slots so soon!

To anyone that can't (or doesn't want to) wait, you might try to call them and ask if they have an earlier dates available.
