No Boarding Passes

I'm probably just being paranoid here. But, while preparing my evidences from my visit to my fiancee, I realized that i no longer have any of my boarding passes from my 2 trips to visit her. I have the Itineraries showing my E-Ticket with flights and dates, and and Itinerary showing both her and my name for a flight we took within her country to another city. I'm not going to get zapped for not providing boarding passes am I?

I do have copies of my passport with my entry/exit stamps with dates and locations. A few hotel receipts in her country and of course many photos of us together. I should be alright..... right?

Don't worry about it. As long as you have the itineraries and your passport stamps your good to go. I asked this question several times because I didn't have my boarding passes either and was told not to worry about it. I sent exactly what you did. Granted I sent a lot more evidence like pictures and what not but regarding boarding passes don't worry. Just make sure you get the other required evidence too. Good luck

Boarding passes carry more weight than itineraries as they actually show that you boarded a plane and went somewhere, whereas itineraries only show purchase. With that said, you do have the stamps and hotel receipts. If you can provide those along with any other receipts from your trip you can think of and the photos of you together, you will probably be fine.

With all the evidence you have, there shouldn't be a problem. It creates a picture of your visits and the most significant is probably the passport stamps - their own evidence. All the best

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

We had only 1-2 boarding pass for our 30+ trips, but we had a lot of passport stamps, didn't send any itinerary either. No problem here.

i was working in us for 8 months but only have the boarding pass for my flight back.

should i attache that?

would a letter from the company i worked for stating i was actually working (legal ofcourse) help?

Whatever helps establish the fact that you and your fiance/e were together at some time within the 2 years before filing the petition.

do you have any bag tags?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

doesn't count.

The point is, he has entry stamps. That is the greatest of evidence. I could have boarding passes and get to the country and be denied. That doesn't prove I was "in" the country. The entry stamps show that I cleared customs and allowed entry into that country.

The entry stamps, coupled with other evidence will suffice the meeting in person. Make sure you have a few photos of you 2 together in that same timeframe.

you will be fine.

My last trip to the Phiippines, my passport was not stamped going back to the USA.

I asked, and the guy said we know you're a US citizen to stamp. First time I did not get it stamped. No problem for me since I was already home.

But I guess the most important stamp is the stamp showing you were in the PHilippines.

doesn't count.

unless you or her have something to raise a flag you will find the process in the Philippines goes very smooth. Of course you want to collect as much evidence as you can. In our case they only had my then fiancé flip thought it. They were not even close enough to actually read any of it.

I didn't have my boarding passes from my first flight, so I sent in the itinerary. My other two flights I did online check-in so I had E-tickets. Actually the second flight I sent in a copy that I had in my email (not the ones that they initial that you go through) and I had no problems. I also included itineraries of all trips, passport stamps, and copies of any visas.

Think of this entire process like a court of law. What evidence do you have of meeting can be broken down into several catagories. Primary and secondary are the best kind of evidence. Primary evidence stands on its own merit. Secondry proves another item. For example the meeting within the last two years--how to prove it? First show that either you or your finacee was in the others country or in another country at the same time. Best is the entry stamp. Were you together or just in the same country? That is where the photos or receipts come into play. You must "paint a picture" for the USCIS person that you were in the same country and actually met. How you do that depends on what evidence you have and your situation. For us, we were together 3 times within the two year time frame so it was easy to show that we were together. The same method works for proof of relationship. Just remember that the proof during this entire process is not YOU not on the USCIS. Think of it as you are guilty until you prove yourself innocent.

Good luck,

Dave
