so I sent them my EAD application on 13 February andthought 180$ and 70$ for the biometrics makes 250$ and included a check for this amount to my form, copies of passport, I-94 and K3 visa.

well I got the stuff back along with a rejection notice because the amount on the check in incorrect.

Now I sent it off again...Damn confusion!

Germangel: I am confused about your experience. You mean you sent in your EAD fee and for the Biometric and they returned both? Wow! What does that imply then? I am also planning to send in the EAD application,I thot one has to include the $ 70 for the biometric as well. I will need more information on this. Help.

well, seems like they didn't want my money for biometrics. Don't know why.

Just send in the check for 180$ and maybe they ask later for the bio fees, I don't know. I know from euro that she didn't have to pay the bio fee either.

oh, and mylove, you don't have to apply for AOS and EAD together.

I'm doing my CR1 visa and only applied for EAD. That's just fine. You can check with the guides about EAD and AOS

You do not need to send that 70 dollar biometrics fee. You probably applied for EAD only. The same happened to me; they sent the 70 dollar cheque back.

You need to pay the biometrics fee only once, so if you have paid for it before there is no need to pay again. In any case it is less money, so it is all good.

I just sent in the AOS/EAD packet, I had 3 seperate checks ... $325 for the AOS, $70 for biometrics, and $180 for the EAD. Some people have combined the AOS/Bio fee in one check and that has worked also. But I preffered to make sure they had a seperate record that the bio fee was paid.

If you applied for AOS that is right you have to pay 70 dollar for biometrics. If you applied for EAD only as I did then you will not pay 70 dollar for EAD biometrics because it is absolutely free.

It is clear as daylight.

180$ for EAD only, no bio fee!!! That's important to know
