RFE for I-130 at USCIS stage or checklist at NVC?

If it's RFE for I-130 at USCIS then it could be either needing more evidence or some documents are missing in your application.

Got RFE today at 10 am . Can anyone tell me what RFE it would be?

How the hell should we know!?! Sorry, but you will have to be patient and wait for the RFE to arrive and then you can tell us what it says and then we can help. Right now it is just a guessing game and if you cannot think of what might be missing how are we?

Relax. Wait for the RFE and then respond to it. If you need help ask and we will be more than willing to assist.

Good lcuk,

Dave

Yes, I also got a RFE at USICS stage.

Only you can do just wait for the notification letter coming.

And you will know what they really require.

It delayed us almost 3 weeks time.

Good luck!

Got the RFE mail on monday 7/23. I didn't fill my wife's info on G325A. Vermont told me to send another form with all the info. When i saw the RFE , i thought that was the most redicilolus mistake i have ever made. Any way i was happy that the RFE was not about our relationship. Anythoughts guys , thanks for replying

hi,

No one wants to see REF during the whole process. This time, it was not big, REF always delay the process. So, do your best and be thorough.

".......our relationship. Any thoughts guys" you better know than us....lol....:blush::blush:

Try to save all documents (chat, pictures, money transfer....) and proofs that shows your relationship is GENUINE not just for Immigration purpose..Otherwise CO will GRILL your spouse during the interview....

good luck

Questions about your relationship will probably be brought up (if there are any) at the consulate stage.

Sounds like you are worried about that

Good luck

My 2 cents on any process dealing with USCIS/NVC/Embassy: be as proactive as possible and try to make as less mistakes as possible, specially the silly ones. For IR1/CR1, this whole process from Application submission to get visa stamped may approximately take (for a USC with Bangladeshi Origin) 10 months to 18 months if everything is okay. Please note, this is an average timeline without any hiccups and I've seen people doing everything right and still get stuck/spent long time for NOA2, pass NVC or wait for Interview and then get into a AP with embassy.

There is no harm is getting an RFE as this could be for any mistake, even missing a field empty in a form. However, for each mistake, RFE at any level one would spend additional time; the time it takes for getting the RFE, get the requirement completed, send it back to the party and then getting the application back to the flow. What this could mean: 1. you will spend more time than average. 2. Depending on the mistakes (and of course how often) one make, it MAY raise a question how serious the intention is and that's how things could be perceived in various places. Look at it this way, from your timeline, by now you are supposed to be out or closing on NOA2, but this RFE will push you back for sometime.

I've seen people doing everything just to avoid one single RFE and one is as eager to bring their other half as most, try to do the same. Do we not make mistakes, of course, but we should try to make as less. I hope I didn’t sound like an advisor or a whistle blower as that wasn’t my intention in any shape or form.

Good luck and best wishes on this journey, as this is just a beginning for you.
