Last year when I was visiting Marife's family we ate quite a few, but I prefer sisig for my pulutan

I ate balut on my first trip and my third trip. The first time I had it I didn't care for it but I had to try it again the last time I was there. I actually liked it last time. I've had way worse palutan than balut. The "snakefish" I ate on my last trip was NOT good after sitting around for a couple hours with flies on it. I had a couple bites to be polite and that was enough. Thankfully I shipped some good scotch whisky ahead before our last trip. That might of had something to do with liking the balute last time.

Love it.. I did not think of a Scotch chaser......

I miss the sisig... Best I had is a now chain from Cebu. Balamban Liempo has the best Sizzling Sisig I have tasted. Makes me want a few more SML as they spice it up good. Thanks I am 8000 miles away and craving Sisig lol.. :bonk:

I can kiss after Balut but not dried fish.... Send em to their province for a week to get the dried fish out of their system. Double Yuck on dried fish.

Most pinays hate balut,...

Only real men eat balut,... LOL

Having visited the PI many times, this "opportunity" came up a few times. I thought then and still think, why would anyone eat that? I have eaten some odd foods over the years, but this one was not an option. I would not recommend raw Sea Urchin on the half either...eck...
