chat 2x a day since

Dec 23, 11. met in Cebu, traveled to Balamban.

Dec 25th 11 asked her fathers permission to marry her in Cebuano. Engaged.

Jan 1, 12. Came home.

Jan 18th 12, I-129f recieved at vsc

Jan 25th 12, first noa

Feb 9 12, touched

July 2, 12 approved

July 7, 12 recieved noa2

July 16th, called nvc recieved case #

Aug 1st, CFO completed

Aug 16th, Interview date and Approved

It took me 12 years of travel back and forth living there for 5 of those 12 years to eat Balut. Chase it with Red Horse Beer and I will eat almost anything lol. I can say I only ate the 16 day Balute as 18 or above gets a bit crunchy while spitting out feathers. I did not do it the traditional way as I just wanted to get it done (5 times I might add). I just peeled it dipped in vinnegar and salt and down it as fast as I could. It was not my best snack to date but hey I can say I did it. Not that it pays me anything lol. I was at a Fiesta and had enough SML in my system when I tried it with a glass of Red Horse to chase it. Am I the only man on this forum that has done it lol.. Remember it took me 12 years to get enough courage to eat it though.. Maybe I am still a boy :dance:

The trick is to eat it hot, most often it really tastes disgusting when its cold,

keep it hot, and you'll enjoy it...

Yeah, my wife doesnt eat it either. I have tasted the juice, i stay the hell away from the embryo though. I have tried the pigs blood however. Not bad.

March 11, 2011 - Met my wife our local tsunami evacuation center due to the tsunami in Japan.

March 12, 2011 - Begin texting back and forth daily.

April 28, 2011 - :D first night with my wife to be. Officially in a relationship.

June 23, 2011 - Formally propose.

July 23, 2011 - Married in Borongan City.

August 28, 2011 - My daughter is conceived (due on June 1, 2012) :D

January 5, 2012 - NOA2

March 8, 2012 - Case completed at NVC

March 20, 2012 - First day of med. exam.

March 21, 2012 - SPUTUM

March 29, 2012 - 3 day sputum test NEGATIVE (culture done on May 28th)

May 25, 2012 - Alaysha Elaiah Mae Arma Nichols (MOUTHFULL) is born. 6 lbs. 18.5" and absolutely gorgeous!

June 19, 2012 - Medical Exam Passed!!

June 22, 2012 - CRBA appt. for my baby girl. APPROVED!!! :D

June 26, 2012 - CR1 Visa Interview for my wife. APPROVED!!! :D

July 6, 2012 - Passport and CRBA in hand!

July 12, 2012 - Visa in hand!

July 19, 2012 - POE LAX!!

August 1, 2012 - Green Card Received!

I ate balut on my first trip and my third trip. The first time I had it I didn't care for it but I had to try it again the last time I was there. I actually liked it last time. I've had way worse palutan than balut. The "snakefish" I ate on my last trip was NOT good after sitting around for a couple hours with flies on it. I had a couple bites to be polite and that was enough. Thankfully I shipped some good scotch whisky ahead before our last trip. That might of had something to do with liking the balute last time.

For the longest time hearing about it before I went and when I was there for the first time, I said there was no way. Toward the end of my first trip, right out front of Doll House, I tried it. I had asked for a lower number but I must have ended up with higher 'cuz it was crunchy. But the second trip I didn't want any and I don't intend on the third trip. Once was enough. Tasted a lot like a boiled egg, just the texture was gross.

I don't want durian either. I tried the durian candy, wala lami.
