Ok so now we get sent on to the NVC...How do we know it's been received? Do they email us or is there a number we call (errr...the one at the bottom of the approved email??) after a certain amount of time?

We just got our NOA2 emails so I know I probably won't start checking things till November (when I'm back in the states)....

Feb 8: Received K-1 Visa

April 27: Married!!

May 4: AOS & EAD sent off.

July 28: EAD Card Arrives in Mail!

Aug 23: AOS Interview! APPROVED!!

Aug 30: Welcome to America! letter arrived.

Sept 7: Greencard arrived in the mail!

2009

May: Received Notice about Greencard Expiration end of August

July 15: Sent packet in mail!! (FINALLY!!)

July 16: Packet arrives @ CSC 10:52am Signed by V. Semegi

July 24: Received NOA (posted 7/21)

July 30: Received Bio Appt Letter in Mail

August 20 @ 2pm: Biometrics Appt. –

Sept 12: Approved!! Should be getting card within 60 days..

2011

April 22: Mailing N400 Citizenship packet to Phoenix AZ! (about time!)

April 25 10:37am Phoenix USCIS Lockbox. Signed for by F DOMINGUEZ

April 28 NOA (received in mail May 2)

June 7 Biometrics Appt

July 26 8:10am Interview/Test APPROVED!

Jul 26 Oath Ceremony! Pete is now a US Citizen!

Hi there!

Now that u got ur NOA2.. You could emailed the NVCInquiry@state.gov to inquire your case. You can email them after 2 weeks once u get your NOA2 through mail Congrats! and now your getting closer and closer :) God bless!

July 7,2006 = received i-129f at NSC

July 12, 2006 = NOA1

Sept 15, 2006 = touched

Sept 17, 2006 = touched

Sept 18, 2006 = Finally! we got email notification of NOA2!!! :)

Sept 23, 2006 = NOA2 in mail

Oct 11, 2006= electonic mail of my case number! thanks God!

Feb 15, 2007 = interview (approved! thanks God)

March 8, 2007 = Arrived in Portland, Oregon

May 2007 AOS application

Aug 2007 Interview date but cancelled :(

praying for approval soon

Well, you can phone NVC if you want to, but it doesn't take too long for them to get the stuff to the London Consulate.

Mine took about a 3 weeks until I got packet 3. Sent the stuff back, scheduled the medical and about 2 weeks later I got packet 4 through with the interview date (which was about 2/3 weeks later).

I'd just hang on and try to relax a bit.... :)

YIPPEEEE!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

What next? Celebrate while you wait the next two to four weeks for your case file to make it to NVC. You are through the worst now. You should mark the occasion well!!

January 2004: Met Laurent at the Bibliothèque nationale in Paris

February 2004: We became an actual couple

January 29th, 2006: I left France to return to the United States--AWFUL to say goodbye!

June 2006: Finally convinced Laurent that a K-1 visa would be more time-effective than trying to get an H-1

August 1st, 2006: The K-1 petition is finally in the mail and on its way to Nebraska...WooHoooo!! And yes, I remembered to attach the check! :-)

August 3rd, 2006: USPS online tracking shows that my petition (sent certified) was received at the NSC at 5:05am

August 14th, 2006: NOA1 received USPS!! (I-129F recv'd at CSC: 8/4; NOA date: 8/10; last touched: 8/11)

October 2nd, 2006: I MISTAKENLY thought we had an approval...False alarm...Back to waiting...

October 3rd, 2006: TOUCHED!!

October 4th, 2006: REALLY AND TRULY APPROVED!!! Email notification lists 10/3 as the NOA2 date.

Later that same day: TOUCHED...AGAIN! Hope that means I'm in a cozy box and moving to NVC this week...

October 10th, 2006: Received official NOA2 via snail mail.

October 19th, 2006: Case received at NVC!! AWESOME!!

October 20th, 2006: Case forwarded to Paris!! DHL says two shipments were headed that way. Must be in there somewhere...

October 27th, 2006: Received official receipt letter from NVC via USPS.

congrats!!!

You are now welcomed to the CSC shipping club. Now you get to sit back and relax and wait about 3-5 weeks till you get some good information from NVC with a case number, and other information.

when you hit the three week waiting period call the NVC and see if you are given good news with a NVC case number for your approved case.

You might be one of the lucky ones where the CSC ships your case out in a week to the NVC, but the norm has been between 3-5 weeks and a few people waiting six weeks.

I am about to join the five week waiting club.

01-28-10 Green Card received from USCIS

US Citizenship

10-19-10 Mailed N-400 packet to Texas via Priority Mail

10-22-10 Packet was delivered after being forwarded to Dallas

10-27-10 Check was finally cashed by USCIS

10-30-10 I-797C Notice of Action (NOA) Received

11-02-10 RFE Text Message, and Email Received (Must be the Biometrics)

11-08-10 Biometrics Letter Received for 11/17/2010

11-17-10 Biometrics was done with in five minutes of reaching at 8:00am

12-06-10 Testing, and Interview email status received via email from USCIS with information to expect a letter shortly with appoinment time.

1-13-11 Interview Passed with form N-652 checked [box A] with congrats you have been recommended for finally approval.

1-13-11 USCIS JAX officer said the Oath letter will come in two or three months.

2-23-11 Oath Ceremony Letter was received for March 17th for 9am in the GNV Federal Court House

3-17-11 Oath Certificate was received at the oath ceremony, and appointment made for US passport for Monday 3-21-11.

As for how you know when something's been received at NVC...Give them ten business days. If you haven't heard anything by then, feel free to start calling them. I would recommend talking to an operator since there seems to be some question as to whether the automated system reflects I-129Fs or not. You can also email. If you go to the NVC Forum here at VJ, you'll find all the information you need to contact NVC. :D
