Hello VJers,

I just wanted to post to give some assurance for other people going through AOS. After USCIS received out AOS on Feb 8th, we had our bio appt on March 1st. Today, after a whole 4 months, we received a transferal letter saying our AOS was on its way to the CSC.

So my advice for those feeling hopeless about a CSC transfer, keep your heads up!

Now here's to hoping it won't get transferred to Dallas! lol

Getting transfered to CSC is not really a good thing for the AOS. Yes you probably won't have an interview, but you're going to be waiting forever to. We were transfered on Nov 28th 2011, and still we're waiting.

What Caryh said. Once they receive it at CSC, the clock goes back to zero and they have 6 months more to process it (from the time it was received at CSC, NOT the time it was submitted). Some have got theirs sooner, but for most of us it seems CSC is going to use up every single day of that 6 months, and nothing will help (service request, senators etc fall on deaf ears).

Service request got us a form email that took 3 weeks to copy and paste then send. Today we just requested the assistance of both a senator and congress woman. Fingers crossed they'll dig out our box now.

I put in a service request on May 17, they replied and said they would respond in 45 days, so far nothing. I have had 2 different senator's offices contact CSC for me, both said the same thing, they won't do anything until 6 months have passed from the day the file was received at CSC. Hopefully yours will be dealt with soon, as I think yours was transferred earlier.

Our AOS was transferred to CSC also. I was not very happy with this. What is so ironic is that the NOA states it is to speed up our case. Yeah right. If you go to USCIS website and get processing times for CSC, they are currently on January 2011. Yep, I blinked and looked again 2 days in a row. January 2011 is what they claim to be processing right now. It appears that there is nothing much to do except wait until the 6 months, then call them every chance you get and write letters (send them certified to back up your claims), but it appears that they have freewill to run the show the way they want to. We did get our consolation prize of EAD card arriving in the mail yesterday. But because we were out of status when we filed for AOS, we can't use the AP card to go see her family until we get approved. Ughhhhh. But, we have endured this far and we will endure what it takes until we reach the finish line.

Good luck to your wait....

Not to rub on the open wound..We are also in the CSC black hole...the recent directive from Pres Obama will clog things even more I'm afraid. I made a call to CSC yesterday and the front options now have one that has a dedicated line for people in that situation. All my sympathies go to them, but that means additional wait times for all here.

Caryh, I have a similar timeline as you and filed with St. Paul MN. I requested a service request which I quickly received action, but I was surprised by yet another RFE! It was a simple matter to deal with, I responded right away and am now back to waiting. I had action within 15 days of another RFE so I am hoping that @June 28th I will get that elusive email saying my card is in production! It will happen, we need to have faith.

Good luck everyone and in the meantime have an awesome day!

Lise
