TAX question, he has not fulled for 2011, got a extension

Hello everyone!

We got married on the 5/20/12 and trying to sort AOS now.

My question is regarding the 1-184, We have the form 1040 for 2009 and 2010 and pay subs for 2011( current and past).He has still not filed for 2011 taxes and has applied for an extension how will this affect our AOS. We dont have the W2 is it really required? what others documents can we add to support the affidavit of support. :help:

He is a consultant and files his own taxes, we have stocks, savings and no dependeds except me for now. Can anyone plesea help us here? :help: :help:

You need more than the 1040 forms. You need the entire tax return, just as it was filed with the IRS - every form and supporting document. A much better alternative is IRS tax return transcripts. They're free, and take only about a week to obtain.

He can submit the I-864 with a copy of the extension he filed. He needs to prove his income for the current year will be sufficient to qualify.

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

You need more than the 1040 forms. You need the entire tax return, just as it was filed with the IRS - every form and supporting document. A much better alternative is IRS tax return transcripts. They're free, and take only about a week to obtain.

Thanks you so much for your reply. I will make sure he order the transcripts asap, however will you please give me some info on how can he prove his current income? we have a letter from the employer and this tax subs anything else that might help?

If your interview was at London then your flag should be UK. The flag is for application country, not nationality.
