I think USEM wont mind but at CFO they probably question about the age gap..

but it doesn't matter if the girl is in a mature age like 25 above.

me and my fiance has 20 years gap at first i didn't know he look so young for his age LOL, you won't really have problem in the interview as long as you provide enough proof of your genuine relationship with your fiance :)

as for CFO, applicants who are age 18 to 21 must have parental consent in writing, those age 21 to 25 must have written parental advice (a written indication that the parents are aware of the couple's intent to marry). The revised Family Code of the Philippines, which took effect on August 4, 1988, prohibits marriage for individuals below the age of 18.

If she is 25 year old she will need parental advice letter notarized from her parents. A Large age gap hasn't really mattered because it is common in the Philippines. I have a 25 year age gape between Jovi and I and she was approved for her K1 VISA. The CFO made us jump through hoops with additional requirements because I had been married before and my last ex-wife was a Filipina. Just document everything well and have plenty of proof of a genuine relationship. Pictures with her and her family are a big plus, money remittances, etc... Good Luck.

Hi, can I ask what additional documents did they asked you? My fiance was once married too w/ a filipina. They were divorced before filing the K1. We're not worrying because we have it consulted w/ a lawyer, but your info could still help though. thanks! :)

No you don't, not in your case. The advice regarding "parental advice" and "parental consent" is country specific to the Philippines, there is no such requirement for American citizens.

"The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps!" - Eleanor Roosevelt, First Lady of the United States, 1945.

USEM don't mind about the age gap. Me and my fiance' is 16 years gap. We got approved. As long as you have all the requirements needed by them. IRS is key of all.

My husband and I are 18 years apart - he's 25 and I'm 43. Don't think it should matter.... at least I hope not!

Its all about document , document, document for them. We have 15 years, no issues but she was 48 at the time. Just have your ducks in a row.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Age gap of 20 years is not a big deal..especially in the Philippines.....just make sure all your evidence is strong, letters from family (besides the parent(s)), is also a strong point that I actually do not see posted on here, ever. We front loaded with letters from Giselle's mother and four of her nine siblings, as well one from her and I and my daughter. Family pics and monetary support would be the other biggest things IMHO.

Were 18 years apart BTW, and she's 24....

Be thorough and you'll need patience.....and most likely......LOTS of it.

Good Luck!
