On May 24th we had our interview the Dominican Republic and we was approved after being in there for 10 hours (I wrote a review) but I am a little nervous because they didnt take my I-134, DS-156 or DS-156k. Actually they didnt look at any of the evidence I had. Should I be nervous?

yes, be nervous.

Monitor the beneficiary's postal mail, for the next 5 weeks.

Somethings amiss.

For clarity - call the DoS Hotline (# in my profile, study left panel)

and inquire for casefile status .

What paperwork (new) was given on interview day?

Did they take the passport? Did you get a sheet saying that you were approved?

We was told we was approved and welcome to the UNITED STATES, I asked if they needed my other paper work and he said no, we had a great interview, he took her passport and told her in will me ready in 5-7 days to go pay domex (FEDEX) for delivery of the visa. They took the 1 copy of ds-156, ds-230 a & b, her passport, her ID, birth cert, police report, and the 2 photos.

I still have 1 copy of the ds-156, ds-156k & I-134

In my opinion, you are stressing too much about this. It really sounds, by what you are saying, that you were happily approved and just need to wait for her passport to be delivered.

IF you want to calm your nerves, call DoS tomorrow morning 202.663.1225 and ask.... problem solved! good.gif

Sounds like the visa will be printed and attached to the passport. kicking.gif

This report is exceptionally different that what you've written in post #1.

Almost , well @#$ck it, it IS diametrically opposed to what you wrote prior, 180 degrees of difference.

Thanks for the scare. You Rock, and Stuff..

Congrats on the approval.

What should of I asked? I asked what the status of my Visa, they said it was approved but they don't have any other info because the Dominican Republic hasnt updated the case, and then they told me to call back, today and they said the same thing. What questions should I be asking?
