I485 Change of Status

Does anyone know the processing time for the change of status? I can not find it on the immigration site as it only lists work asylum, work etc?

Is there an interview for the change and how long before you get an appointment. we will get married the first week I arrive, file immediatly and then Joe will have to return to work in Afghanastan while I stay with my sister in law in our house. How much notice will we get for the interview because he will have to schedule his R&R to return for it.

Depends on where you live and if you get transferred to the California service center. Make sure you file for the EAD and AP at the same time as the wait for a green card can be very long and its free with the AOS. We're at 7 months and still waiting now, we were transferred to the CSC instead of our local office. We're over the 180 day wait time since transfer, so we were able to file for a service request today, which says wait another 15 days, and those are business days grrr.

Our I129f is with the Vermont Center but I do not know where the 485 will be filed. But doesn;t the interview go to a more local office as we will be living in Atlanta or Pensacola fl.

K-1 AOS is very backed up now, waiting time is expected 6 - 9 months. Someone from November 2011 is still waiting.

Is he active-duty military? If so, he won't be required to attend. If not, you may or may not have an interview - if you do you'll get notice about a month in advance.
