I just talked to USCIS and operator told me that VSC is working on I-130's from January 16. Wondering if anyone else got similar dates when they called USCIS?

seems like vsc is still processing files from september 1, 2011 - based on previous information. i think they are sugar coating their reports. i hope i am wrong on this statement.

yeah i have 16 sept 2011 as priority date and i am still waiting for my Approval for my I-130

seems like they obviously f*ed up on there business process..

you should request to get it expedited because it is already out of normal processing time.

At the risk of ticking some people off I'm going to brooch this subject. I've been watching the Vermont Center timelines, and from what I'm seeing they receive many many more K-1 visas than IR1-CR1 visa petitions. Ok, maybe I'm crazy and I really don't know their processing protocols but... they are processing and approving more K-1's than they are marriage visas. This just simply doesn't seem fair to me. They should take a certain number of K1's and match up the same number of marriage visas and work those cases together. Maybe I'm not expressing this clearly...but my point is that the proportion of K1's to marriage visas being approved is OFF...way off. Thoughts anyone?

I was kind of afraid I wasn't being clear with my comment. What I mean is... it appears it's taking LESS time to process the K1's in the service center. The amount of approvals for K1 is disproportionate to the number of IR1/CR1 approvals. I was actually referring to Igor's List on VJ. If you notice you put in the fiance petition/K1 visa option and look at the amount of approvals for May 2012 then do the same for the I-130/marriage visa option. See the difference? Seems weird to me. There are many more approvals because there seems to be more petitions submitted, but somehow the seems unfair to me. :unsure: And yes, I expect I'll have a bit longer wait than most, unfortunately.

i think you are flawed there to compare k1 to ir1/cr1 on vj. because this is a self-user data input and you are looking at the vj population and not as everyone in uscis population. it is also plague with people who input the date on the wrong field or just not updating it anymore.

i think you will get somewhat accurate results by comparing the processing times on the uscis website. what i find is so f*ed up is that the business visa get much better priority than family visa.

i got the same info today.

I was told on May 1st that VSC was processing Jan 16th, 2012 and that since my NOA1 is Jan 12th, 2012 they submitted a service request to find out what is going on.... I recieved an e-mail from the service request stating that they are "sorry about the misinformation causes by the posted times" but they are currently processing NOVEMBER 2011!

I am beyond frustrated with their system.

I've been told numerous different dates when I call and now their e-mail claims to be working on November (2 more months at least til they even get to Jan? How is that possible when they are telling every caller that they are half way into Jan?!?!)

Also--- there are a good amount of Dec and Jan cases already approved from VSC and even a handful of FEB and MARCH cases. They are so incredibly unorganized that it makes my blood boil because they tell people blatant lies.

I havent seen my husband in months, and 3 times they told us we were within a week of approval just to get knocked back down again. It just doesn't seem fair to build up false hope like that... I can't handle that emotionally when already in a long, stressful situation!

I recieved an e-mail from the service request stating that they are "sorry about the misinformation causes by the posted times" but they are currently processing NOVEMBER 2011!

...........

Something isn't right here because they can't submit a service request for Jan12 until Jun12. The 5 months processing time hasn't reach there yet. And there computer won't allow it to submit a service request until the 5 months is over.

I am just baffled how you got them to submit a service request through and how they did it.

01/20/12 - I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox.

01/26/12 - NOA1 received and processing at Vermont.

06/28/12 - NOA2 announced on status check.

06/29/12 - NVC received case learned on 07/2/12.

06/30/12 - Hard copy NOA2 received.

07/09/12 - NVC Casefile Number and IIN Issued.

07/16/12 - Receive and Sent DS-3032 via email.

07/17/12 - Mailed DS-3032 via mail, AOS bill received via email, paid online, Optin email sent.

07/18/12 - Optin accepted and new case number, AOS marked paid, emailed AOS packet.

07/24/12 - Assigned as Agent, IV Fee bill received via email, paid online.

07/25/12 - IV Fee marked paid, emailed IV packet.

07/31/12 - Emailed GZO Supplemental Packet 3.

08/02/12 - Case completed and commenced final review.

08/03/12 - Shipped all copies of forms/letters/documents to my wife - arriving on 8/9/12.

08/06/12 - Case completed final review.

08/09/12 - Appointment letter received via email interview date set 9/6/12.

08/14/12 - Medical exam done.

08/15/12 - Medical exam results all normal.

09/06/12 - Submitted required documents at the embassy and interview set next day at 0730.

09/14/12 - Visa received on hand!

10/25/12 - Green Card received!

04/27/13 - Submitted DS-160 online for parent-in-laws and sister-in-law.

05/01/13 - Paid DS-160 or MRV Fee Payments on CGI Stanley.

05/03/13 - Made appointment for 05/16/13 on CGI Stanley.

05/16/13 - Arrived at GUZ and impromptu notice on the front it was closed.

08/08/14 - Mailed I-175 application.

08/11/14 - I-175 arrived at VSC.

08/18/14 - Received NOA1 with date 08/12/14.

08/27/14 - Received biometrics appointment for 09/09/14.

02/27/15 - GC in production from email notification.

03/02/15 - Received NOA2 with approval dated 02/25/15.
