I got the call back from csc and was told my petition was forwarded to nvc on 10/2 , thats almost 1 month after it was approved.

I hate the fact that there is noone you can complain to and there is no real Customer service line.

We do have to pay for this process and i am a tax payer so why is it that i have no right's as a tax payer when it comes to this process.

When you call the uscis line you get no more information than you can get from the web site.

I just got off the phone with the NVC - our petition was approved September 5th and the NVC has still not received our case either ... I can hardly bear the thought of calling the USCIS, I guess I will try emailing the Vancouver embassy in Canada and see if they received it directly like is being suggested might be the case. If the file is STILL back at the CSC ... I don't know if my sanity can remain intact much longer! AH!

-Eli-

I called NVC two weeks after our NOA approval, and was informed it was just sent to Vancouver. I then emailed Vancouver a week later, and they emailed back that they sent it out. The email I received from them was received the same day as my Package 3. I'd go ahead and email Vancouver!

Yeah, I called the NVC today and after I told her that my approval date was 21 Sep, she said it was "fairly new" and they didn't have anything yet. Sounds like they are expecting at least a month wait in between NOA2 and the NVC for now. The good ol' days of the three day turnaround are no more.

It seems that something out of the ordinary (who really knows what that is anyway?) is going on between CSC and the NVC. Looking at previous timelines and posts, the shipment of approved petitions through the NVC was really quick. It kind of seemed like it was a clearing house of sorts....get 'em in and get 'em out as quickly as possilbe. Now, there are a LOT of us who are waiting with early September approvals.

VJ scares me sometimes, because I sit here and read about the horror stories of being stuck in AR or other problems that cause delays. The common theme is "no two cases are alike"....well I guess there are alot of "alike" cases in that there are so many of us waiting from early September!!!

All I can do is hope that this is "normal" and that everything is going to show up at NVC for all of us at once and get shipped out just as quickly!

The woman on the phone today when I called the NVC told me that "about four weeks" is normal time to wait for them to recieve a case from CSC...it has been a month. :(

Everybody stay strong....because its about all we can do for now! ;)

That sounded normal at first until I read a post that AP/AR can take 6 months and some are waiting over a year. oh will the stress ever end......

I just got off the phone with an agent at the USCIS (G8535 Shannon) and she told me that ALL I-129F petitions that are NOT filed in conjunction with an I-130 are mailed directly to the embassy or consulate. She said as of late last year, they DO NOT go to the NVC.

When I asked about the wording on the NOA2, she said it simply has not been changed yet to reflect this. I asked if she was 100% sure and she said YES….

 I think she is wrong on this. My NOA2 was 9/20/06. I called NVC on 9/27/06 and they said yes, they have if and it would be going out that day to Bangkok. I tracked it on DHL to the embassy from Portsmouth, NH to Thailand. So I am certain my went through NVC.

Just my experience anyway. Good Luck!

My NOA2 was approved 9/20/06 , filed at NVC/CSC just like Randy. His sailed through!!! I'm still waiting with all of you and tearing my hair out ttrying to figure out why. I was under the understanding that after the NOA2 approval that the sending to NVC is just a "Distribution center" to the beneficiaries consulate. So I don't mind if the petition actualy gets sent from CSC to the beneficiaries Consulate but would appreciate some consistency :blink::wacko::blink:

Just noticed RANDY stated "He Tracket it by DHL to the embassy" I didn't even know THAT was possible!
